I dund know. Generally coyotes are total wusses until attacking with their pack. Strange this one would be so oblivious. When critters like that are unafraid of humans it usually means rabies. He didn't look too unsteady on his feet, too disoriented, and being on Mt Tam, he might be someone's pet, but still beware.
