I've had the honor of Meeting Sensei Daniels at a few Karate tournaments, and my original head karate instructor, Shihan Ramsey, trained him. He's actually a really mellow, down to earth guy and is only "cocky" in the ring as a matter of showmanship. Secondly, He didn't do any ground training and made one slight mistake in his opening attack in his MMA fight.

Im not a big daniels fan because of his cocky attitude, but he does have skills, daniels with his point karate and kick boxing and metcalf with his mma they both are sport fighters because when you have rules and referee's its a sport and all mma fans get so excited because metcalf beat daniels but they have to remember metcalf had A LOT more experience in that sport of MMA and it was daniels first mma sport fight, so metcalf win proves nothing more than he has a lot more experience in that spo

The WCL guys can't compete in a K1 tournament because the rules are differents and WCL guys fights with trivial errors, like the total absence of guards, jumping, lot of high kicks, never usage of low kicks, the absence of defence strategy ecc ecc all of this errors should be fatal against a K-1 fighter.

I have done 24 years of martial arts and been in many street fights, including the street and closed in spaces and multiple opponents. that jujitsu shit goes right out of the window trying to do moves like the spider and your nuts get stepped on or your eyes get gauged out.

In reality, most people will strike and then try to go for the neck, not try complicated arm locks because they're going to get punched and elbowed repeatedly

MMA aint the WCL. He's an exciting cat and I hope he has success but I've never been overly impressed with Daniels hand's and kicking that way is going to expose you to a lot of takedowns which he will be only slightly prepared to deal with.
