  • I completely agree with mohauk393939. It was that point in the final that she won with that beautiful topspin backhand that won her the tourney. She screamed right after !!! Glorious shot.

  • Beauty and the beast ...

  • @Hoffenheim08

    Yes, indeed!

Seles's game was truly ugly. Compared to that even Serena is an elegant player.

  • That persons grunt is worse than sharapovas

  • I never I would see someone pounce on Evert, Sabatini and Navritova like Steffi. She changed tennis forever.

  • not to disrespect Sales or something, especially after those weird incident, but i cant see how come she might be better than Graf, like some people assume...i mean look at Graf's poetry moves and compare them to greasy moves of Sales, all Graf does she does it with elligance, beauty etc...and than compare it to shapeless and absolutely dull Sales techniques...

  • LOL 0:19 ugliest shot I've ever seen :D

  • Monica was horrible to watch on a tennis court. She had the most unpleasant expressions and moved around the court like a bug or some witch with hunchback. Steffi is graceful and feminine.

  • Steffi the best !

  • I love that you have tons of Steffi footage here but I have to agree with Mohawk, that backhand pass down 4-5 in the set was by far more important, it was what broke Hingis' resolve as Steffi reeled off 5 consecutive games.

I do love how thoughtful her shots were against Seles though, especially in the 3rd set.

  • Agree with mohawk.. I strongly believe that even if Monica had evened the second set, Steffi wud've taken the match eventually...:P

  • i agree too with mohawk

  • agree too with mohwawk

  • I disagree bigtime, I believe the point where she really won the French was in the final in the second set at 4-6 4-5 15-15 down. Graf and Hingis had another greuling point and Steffi drop shotted Hingis bringing her in and then hit the best ececuted topspin backhand I have ever seen her hit. It broke Hingis' spirit and gave Steffi great confidence all in one foul swoop.

  • mohawk : i agree with you on this one.
