  • Mary always had better taste in boys/men than Laura in my opinion.

  • I wish Ms. Beadle, well Mrs. Sims lol, had came back. She was my favorite teacher on here.

  • Walnut grove is like a ghost town!

  • "I miss you already" Adam's so adorable!!!

  • Wasn't this supposed to be the final episode? It seems like a pretty depressing ending. It's a good thing the network decided to add more seasons :)

  • @IwillKillYourCereal It was. But ratings were still doing very well, and it was ordered for more seasons and everyone was so happy. Especially since there was more to tell, particularly to Laura Ingalls Wilder.

  • I love the Vicar's speech too.He brings tears to my eyes."I had no answer. The sight was being taken away from this child without any reason. And now she gonna teach for blind children."It is very touching. And i do like Dr Baker. He's so discreet and nice.It is so sad he never married,he should have married Kate,Harriet's niece. The vicar married,Mr Edward married twice and Dr baker remained single. It is bad.

  • @karakittle you ever see brotherly love with the three lawrence brothers?? now during that show that was some snogging!!

  • at 1:15 my dad is the first little blind kid in the front how cool is that

  • Best Little House Couple......... EVER!

  • Of all the townspeople from LHOTP, I liked Doc Baker and Nels Oleson the most. Kevin Hagen passed away in 2005. Richard Bull is now 87. Makes me sad... :(

  • I get tearful when Miss Beetle (Mrs. Simms) says goodbye to Mary and says she'll miss all the townspeople. She was on the show from the beginning.

  • "charles, its the middle of the night."

    "so what!" lol XD

  • I'm glad to see that even a minister gets angry & confused, and questions the Lord. It never seems to happen in real life, or they refuse to adMIT they get angry with God.

I wish that, in real life, they would do that.

  • Aww. Reverend...we all love U & the whole community. How did we suffer with them, feel happy with them, get compassionate & goin thru the good and bad times... this is actually a sad episode thinkin of Ingalls leaving their picturesque lil house, that Charles worked so hard on, which in my eyes is the only place that's ever gonna be Ingall's real home. The whole community has grown dear to my heart like an extended family each single one of them. Such great folks! Thumbs up if U feel the same!

  • I love the way Caroline says "and I say lets do it" LOL

  • Random comment: I just noticed (check out 7:43 ) that Mary's ears are absolutely miniscule!

  • "ChaaAAAArles. We'll wait for you in the coach." LOL Daddies&Mommies&their babies.

  • ok so i thought she was dating Seth so who is adam?

  • @Princess46721 Her blind coach/teacher that Mary met and married after meeting at the blind school on the t.v show. In real life, Mary was never married and lived with her family most of her life.

  • its so sad when mrs. simms leaves..such a sad scene..knowing that she left the show for good..and how much she cared about mary...also from what i heard(don't know where) the reason why they named this episode and said when mary and adam were leaving "i'll be waving as you drive away" was because melissa sue anderson and linwood boomer had a blind adviser on the set, to help them with their acting, and that is what she said to them when she was leaving. thats what i heard anyway.

  • Mary episodes are my favorite and the best acted

  • THE BEST KISS IN HALLMARK CHANNEL HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah miss beadle got married and I think she had a baby too.

  • Mary has much more chemistry with Adam than she did with that Seth guy.

  • *kbuggins1* i so agree she is my fav charactor in lhop :(

  • It looked to lite 2 b the middle of the nite when carolyn and charles arrived at the school to tell mary there plan

  • i really think nellie is ugly. soz =[

  • I LOVE Ms Beadle, it breaks my heart to see her for the last time :(

  • @Kbuggins1 ...Only at this point, she is Mrs. Simms.

  • @Juliaflo Yea, i forgot :P But I remember her as Ms. Beadle so yea :P

  • @Kbuggins1 Yes a very lovely lady! Very patient, friendly, warmhearted! Best teacher in the whole series (apart from when Caroline taught the kids. She is a good teacher too

  • I love this series...Brings a tear and a joy to ones heart !

  • Why did Mary wave to Adam if he cant see it. Mabey it was just out of love:}

  • @fairytalelover1011 Well he did aswell but he at least told her before that he would and maybe in his heart he knew she would wave back (natural enough to wave upon leaving)

  • I wish the writers had taken Mary's blindness more seriously, instead of having a blind boyfriend conveniently turn up right after she goes blind. It sort of staled the whole blind storyline imo.

  • @GreenAshR46 This was from Laura Ingalls real diary. The stories are based off of true stories:}

  • @fairytalelover1011 How could this be from Laura's diary if Mary never fell in love with her blind teacher and married him? Did other people here on youtube get that wrong? Now I'm not sure what to believe is the true story. Others have been saying Mary stayed single and childless. I believed it.

  • @Miracle490d I'm not too sure. I know it was based off the diary, but I'm not too sure what happend. I read online that this was from Laura's diary, but mabey not.

    From,Ali

  • @GreenAshR46 Yes, they really took a lot of liberties with the story of Mary. The real Mary Ingalls never married.

  • "I say it's crazy, I say together we don't have enough brains to blow ourselves up with, and I say let's do it!" LOL! :D

  • @manduh87 LOL best part xD

  • @manduh87 I love that line too. The next episode should be called "I wouldn't hate it. Not if we're together." Carolyn has to remind him too, cuz he still hates it. LOL But with a smile after he's reminded. LOL

  • When do people return to walnut grove in this episode?

  • Bless Reverend Alden. We need more kindhearted ministers like him.

  • iamelysian. when got married to mr. simms

  • !!!!!SO SWEEET!!!!!

  • 2:42

    so sweeeeeet omggggg

  • 3:45 gah.... thats so sweet

  • Is it just me or does Caroline sounds as if she has a cold or something (talking through her nose) I noticed it before in the previous episode 'A most precious gift'

  • i was thinking the same thing!

  • Another sad part was the end service and Mr Alden near tears. Mary reading the Bible was touching.

  • i agree with you ! its a wonderfull and very sad moment ! i cant help crying whenever i see it

  • Adam is so much cuter than Seth anyway. lol

  • when did mrs beadle become mrs simms?

  • it was miss beadle but she probably got married in the show

  • i like how mary absolutely despises adam at first but then grows to love him. :') such a good show.

  • just because he's a teacher doesnt mean he is old

  • tear jearker is such an understatement lol i cant stop crying i so love it my husband just said he worrys about me watching this show lol

  • Mrs Simms is the better teacher! I would like a teacher like this!

  • It's a so sad episode but mary is very brave and Adam will be a wonderful husband. In her life Mary is becoming blind, her sohn is dead..... but she always brave!!!!

  • what's the next episode that you have? with adam & mary?

  • Mary got blind->found Adam

  • When I first saw this episode, I replayed the part when Adam and Mary are talking to each other under the umbrella like 5 times, especially the part where he whispers, "I'll be waving as you drive away"

  • Omg this episode and the last one are such tear-jerkers. So good, yet so sad. :'(

  • i felt like they made a mistake when mary said oh mrs sims........but then i remember ms beatle got married.

    thanks 4 uploading

  • so sad that the town is splitting up

  • This was the latest episode I've so far seen and probably my favorite. I never that much liked Mary but going completely blind was too bad, and I was so happy she found someone like Adam. Who first seemed an asshole though but oh how sympathetic and sweet young man he turned out to be though blind too - I LOVE him and Mary as a pair. <3

  • my god! where are the kleenex? i'm such a girl

  • lol

    i say its crazy

i say we dont have enough brains together blow ourself up with

    i say lets do it!

  • I LOVE that line! GO MA INGALLS!

  • Oh, no ms. beadle, don't go away

  • 1a2j3t: "I love the way he reaches for her face.."

I was just going to comment the same thing! Such cute couple<3

Gosh I love this show, I could watch these episodes all day long, seriously :)

  • whywould she wave if he cant seee!!

  • Well, he said he would wave, so maybe she was returning the favor.

  • I love the way he reaches for her face... & then Mary: "I want to hold your face in my heart, Adam Kendall," & *they kiss*

    *happy tears*

    *sniff*

    *sigh*

  • Its called The Wedding and you can watch some of it on rudolfo4711's channel.

  • Emotional2000, thank you so much for posting these Little House epis.

I think the scene between Mary and Adam here is beautiful. ^_^

  • You're welcome! : D

  • "i want to hold your face in my heart adam kendal"

  • whats the tilte of the episde wear alber burns down the blind school

  • I don't know if I answered your question or not so here it goes. The name of the epi is May We Make Them Proud. It is a 2 part LHOP epi and can be seen on my channel.

  • @carmesundae thats called, "May We Make Them Proud"

  • @carmesundae -- May we make them proud.

  • LUV LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE!!!!!!

  • Same here! : D

  • Yeah, I read this dear america oregon trail book and a 14 year old married a 30 year old. lol

  • The only thing I got from my first teacher was a knot on the head!

  • Aww, "I'll be waving as you drive away." That's so sweet. I'm starting to cry.

  • lol. I've already cried!

  • lol

  • So apparently at that time a teacher was allowed to hook up with his teenage students. Wow, now I know why they were called the Good Old Days!

  • That's terrible... LOL : D At least I know you have a good sense of humor... hahhahaha

  • Well, Adam was probably in his early 20's, and Mary is almost 16. It's not that far apart in age. Laura and Almanzo were 10 year's apart.

  • Yes, I agree that they are not far apart in age - no problem at all as far as I can see. But he is 18 or older. If this happened now, he could be arrested for corrupting the morals of a minor just for kissing her and spend about six months in jail. Yeah, I think it's stupid too. And of course he would be fired because he is her teacher.

  • Lindwood Boomer (Adam Kendall) is the creator of Malcom and the Middle, which was based on his childhood and adolenscent years.

  • You really know your LHOP trivia! : D

  • Mary: I want to hold your face in my heart Adam Kendall.

Aw!!! So sweet! I love it! :)

  • this 2 parter episode was supposed to be the last of the entire series. glad it stayed on longer.

  • this 2 parter episode was supposed to be the last of the entire series. glad it stayed on longer.

    ===========================

Really?! I didn't know that. Why was that?

  • Not sure. NBC wanted this to be the last one, then it ended up being renewed in late 1978.

  • do u have the episode of when they coime bac? i think it's called "there's no place like home?"

  • lindsay980 has the epi on her channel enjoy

  • Mary is so beautiful! In all episodes :)

  • adams and mary are perfect together

  • Watching everything in this episode, I shall pray for all those who are blind or deaf. Remember the biography of Helen Keller who became both blind and deaf after an illness at thirteen months after birth. She was taught to communicate by Annie Sullivan.

  • How come this show was set in Minnesota and the characters seldom wore coats. I grew up thinking that Minnesota was warm like Florida.

  • i grew up in minnesota not far from walnet grove, minnesota is warm in the summer and cold in the winter, minnesota has the hottest heat in the summer and the sub freezing in the winter.

  • Do the Ingalls move to Dakota like Charles says? how come they stay in Walnut Grove for the rest of the series and change their minds?

  • the ingalls do move to dakota in the episode "As Long as we're together" and then move back in the episode "There's no place like home" youtuber Lindsay980 has them both uploaded.

  • adam is the perfect match to mary!!! they u should be toghether even in real life! mellissa sue anderson didn't apear lately in any film or...how come?

  • Well, I think Hollywood is all about youthful actors & actresses personally. However, there are some great pro actors, that are older, that can out act all the youthful actors all together. Hollywood is so fickle and never kind to those over 25... At least this is what I've encountered over the years. I just wish Hollywood would acknowledge more 'aged' actors. Don't me wrong, there is some great young talent out there. I just feel that the older actors are under appreciated in T.V/movies.

  • thank u! i think actresses like melissa are so talented and deep so i guess hollywood is sooo wrong!! well thank u for putin the videos from lhotp it's awesome, can u tell me the name of the episode where mary lost her baby? (i guess it's the one just before "mary we make them proud)

  • caroline's got a cold!

  • 1:14 its an early arrival of eliza jane LOL

  • No no. Seth only disapeared when he heard Mary turned blind. didn't have the courage to have a girlfriend thaat is blind im guessin.

  • I love the passion and love Charles and Carol have for each other!!

  • Seth dissapeared at the end lol.

    haha.

  • Yeah, he did... Funny thing, I didn't even notice he was out the picture. lol

  • Seth was hot. Too bad. lol

  • I wonder what ever happened to Seth during this epi? Its like he disappeared out of thin air! lol :)

  • I thought he and his pa went to sleep eye to start a livery

  • No, this was Seth, or whatever his name was, the one from the beginning of these episodes :)

  • haha, youre serious?? i find adam alot hotter than him;-)

  • Part 5 please

  • Yes, I am uploading it now... :)

  • This episode was sad but also very good. I loved the addition of Adam Kendall and the blind school storyline. I think it let us all see what life could Mary Ingalls have had. And Adam was a nice guy, i so wished there had been a Adam Kendall for Mary in real life. This episode also showed one important thing: that being blind is not and should nt be hopless dorwning in despair. Becoming blind is sad but drowning in self-pity is destructive and leads nowhere
