The panpot was set to dead centre: To be honest that snap is probabaly comming off the gauge 35 G string:

Gauge used = 35:55:80:105 and always Stainless Steel!

Which rotosounds exactly are these? i used some swing bass but i found them a bit grabby and couldnt find my light gauge, it seems like you have a pretty light gauge on there

Rotosound make a 30:50:65:85 set~ A 30:50:70:90 set also a 35:55:70:90 + many more~ Their a Stainless Steel set, which could be described as grabby but that's where the punch and growel come's from...

The set I use is a custom gauge ~35:55:80:105~ Light top heavey bottom, feels great to play!
