  • Actually GM rated this car at 405hp which is underrated like most GM products. With this RWHP and using 15% drivetrain loss the real rating should be 425hp instead of 405.

  • When the hp specs are shown, it is never to the wheels. It's rated at the flywheel, so 405 at flywheel and 361 to the back wheels.

  • @aclumember It's sad that so many people aren't educated about this... Like ALL manufacturers, they claimed 405 CRANK horsepower. Crank horsepower is the motor itself without any drive train loss. Once you drop the motor in a car and add the rotational weight and friction of drive shafts, wheels and tires, you get what most call "wheel horsepower". That car put down 361 wheel horsepower which is well over the 405 crank hp GM claimed.
