  • bit shifter did it better....

  • bit shifter did it better....

  • bit shifter did it better....

  • if this song had better vocals.... it would be great

  • This is the band Devo should have been.

  • @grahamlaur

No way, Devo is a totally different aesthetic and message.

  • @Zoasterboy I don't agree with that, sorry. A lot of their songs sound incredibly Devo-esque to me. But that's just my opinion, everybody hears something different when they listen to music.

  • wow i actually love this

  • I just luv this, everything captainbuckahoe doesn't like about this, is what I like about this...funny eh. I'm remembering this from way, way, way back, and I am smiling!!!! Thanks m8

  • @CapTainBuckAHOE How so?

  • @SanguoYiZhi its just dumb. its too random and wierd. i cant listen to this song and relate i to anything. its just randomnous

  • @CapTainBuckAHOE Ah, well that is the point of the song, typical of the genre, it is supposed to evoke said feelings and express those felt by the artist, randomness indeed. Synthpunk is a branch of art - punk, so it is related to performance art also.

  • @CapTainBuckAHOE really? huh i find it soothing and the oddness is what's kick ass.... love the dissonance.

  • @CapTainBuckAHOE Well trolled, sir.

  • @CapTainBuckAHOE like what? i haven't hear anything like this in the mainstream please do tell.

  • I found The Units' 1979 single Warm Moving Bodies/I-Night in a box in the basement today. I suspect it is quite rare. I have no record player so I can't upload it.

  • I've got the vinyl album, too. ♫

  • I have this album.....pretty rare i think...

  • Early 70's is early electronic music...early '80's is the beginning of the end of the analog synth era....which, by the way, is being revived.

  • cute in that out of print foe a reason way ,groovey, priceless

  • just heard them tonight, i love this song

  • Saw this band play at the Hong Kong Cafe in Chinatown. If I remember, they played with the B-People and Wall of Voodoo...

  • I wonder why nobody knows about this band: I mean, many groups are celebrated... but I never heard 'bout the units before

  • Thank you very much sir... I´m actually gonna play that track in a german radio-show.

  • freaking awesome!

  • wow if you like this listen to "lost sounds" "nervous patterns" "destruction unit" and "terror visions" :D

  • This was probably The Units most popular song where I lived in Dallas in the early 80s, the song of theirs most frequently played on underground music programs and in underground clubs.

  • A friend of mine was an engineer at Big Pink West (Mill Valley? Sausalito? It's been a while) and I think I might have been there when this was recorded, but I never got the album. Saw them live once or twice. Long ago ...

  • Thank you so much m8

  • this is just incredible

  • thanks for posting this truley great stuff
