He treads that fine line between rock and folk every so well when he's live. Better than any i've seen before. Truly an inspiration to see in the flesh, definitely recommend it!
@seyeruoynepotsuj I understand what your saying, but that's a little disrespectful as this song is about those who didn't return from the 1st world war. I'm not trying to start an argument I'm just saying tread a little more carefully as some might take more offense than me.
Went to see him at Buxton Opera House last Monday. It was awful - walked out after four numbers. The backing group completely drowned Seth out. Bloody shame!
@HarrietOx I really envy you, I am a student and I don't have the time and money to afford flying there everytime I would. And I don't know why, but after i've seen him in Bradford in October, I've wanted to see him more. I hope I'll manage soon enough to come back in UK
saw him in tavistock square a week ago or so for the tavi tour party and it was free ! i couldnt believe it !!! someone so talented shouldnt be free ! Hes so good, sends shivers down my spine xx
@hackwood2 i couldnt agree with you more i saw him free at a st georges concert at trafalgar square last year and thought he was awsome seen him about 4 ot 5 times and very underrated
seen him live in pontardawe this friday! i love him so much. amazing. we went round back to his tour bus.. and had pictures with us and sighed our tickets:D
i saw in manchester last night. My boyfriend is in the army and on tour at the moment in afghanistan, it was a struggle getting through this one without tears! Seth was incredible, I saw him last year and didn't think it could get better; it did!
what humourless git thumbs downed glyncollinson's comment??!!! have some of u internet users never been outside? cos there a thing called sarcasm! ud think the smiley would have given it away!!!!!!!!! awesome musician!!!!! ive always been in awe of violin players ( even tho its not in this song)
Good on Seth for making folk music a lil more popular again, honestly people don't know what they're missing!! I'm 15 and love playing and listening to folk... hopefully seing Seth next month 8*)
Big respect to Seth and the band... Cormack is an awesome drummer!!
Same here =] I'm 16, and every single one of my friends thinks it's gay and pointless! Folk is so cool to play and to listen too... just wish more people liked it :) BUT a few of my friends do listen to Seth's stuff... just because they think he's gorgeous lol (which he is!)
Most of the kids have'nt even got a clue what Folk is, so I know how you feel. But to give them a little credit, one or two of my friends have tried people like Kate Rusby. Who I think is wonderfull and I LOVE Seth, he's really trying to bring folk back into the spotlight.
revival? It was never gone! Just because you don't see it on all the music channels doesn't mean that it doesn't a huge following. Why do you think there are festivals dedicated to genre? Folk doesn't need to be revived! It isn't dead!
i saw him live...most amazing gig, when he looks into your eyes when he's playing...takes your breath away. I got that a few times. You know what I mean ;)
Doesn't happen a lot when the support act (Mr. Lakeman & band) makes you even more happy then the main act (Tori Amos). Let's say it was a 100 % concert with a 200 % support act..amazing
