  • @proskate182 Thank you:)

  • @wow0806 :) Thanks!

  • Man, tune this guitar first, this is so out of tune it hurts...

  • @kaalus I don't give a f**k it's just a tutorial!

  • nice.....

  • Nice Tut. But Apparently.... I Dont Know My Chords And Im A Beginner, lol. Cant Find A Vid On The Net, Showing The Fingerings Of The Chords. Hmmph!

  • @SilasR7 Then try "chord Finder" it shows where you should put your fingers. Just search on google :)

  • @SilasR7 try wikipedia. they got all chords u need!

  • @SilasR7 I'd strongly recommend starting with a song that doesn't use Barr chords until you're more comfortable playing, it'll make your life a lot easier if you know the basic chord shapes. I tried starting with barr chords, and the frustration put a huge dent in my progress.

    Just some friendly advice :)

  • thats awsome for the only tutorial thnx bro

  • Thanks very much dude! you really helped me! it's about my favorite song of johnny cash.., thank you !

  • @EpicAndredV I'm glad to help! Thank you:)

  • @BurningBongo - I agree, I can't get the barred C to sound right with the dead note strumming in the verses, but I can manage with a regular C. Great lesson though

  • @icx121 Ok! thanks

  • a regular C chord makes the song a lot easier to play;)

  • @BurningBongo ok if it's easier for you then you do that:)

  • thanks man ;D

  • @XXXDJBOYXXX Your welcome!

  • Just what I needed! Thanks much!

  • @Mystickneon Youre welcome:)

  • Thanks alot. my friends like Cash! So I have to play it.

  • @winniegundog Haha ok!:)

  • yo tequito tacobeellll!

  • @blahman185 Thank you!

  • omg its hard but gread :D

  • The way Cash palyed the strumming on this song was he strummed on the neck of his guitar with a regular C-chord and started the open sound with a up-stroke and one down stroke

  • If you noticed Johnny Cash strummed a lot on the neck of his guitar and thats how he got this sound with a regular C chord,...try it!,....

    good playing though

  • wel could u tel me wat strins ur fingers r on in the c-bared i am a beginer and mad 2 be able 2 play this song . tanks :)

  • @gorry08 I'm wondering why you can't see because i sit right in front of the camera...anyways i put my first finger right over all the strings on the third fret like capo and if you think like that's a capo you just make an A chord on the fitfh fret with the other fingers:) Write to me on my channel if anythings not clear because i don't like to many responses on the comments! Tahnks for watching!

  • I get this video and the strumming. I am just starting on guitar and is this standard tuning or half step down. Just sounds goofy when I play. Yet I am playing on a 40 year old classical guitar with no truss rod and the string are half a inch off the damn fret board. So learning on my old damn thing is kinda tricky.

  • @Jstnevns

    Hi! It is standard tuning:)

    Keep practicing!.

  • Tune your guitar friend.....

    Lynn From Scotland

  • THANK YOU MUCH!

  • @Concreet420 No thank you!!!!:)

  • All I could think was, well, epic

  • Heh...at the end I was like "That was epic.." Thanks so much :D

  • @Worethit haha thank you:)

  • okay so you said C Barre sounds just like regular C, so can we just use regular C or no?

  • @pinkhottie23 yeah it sounds the same but if you do the regular C all the time it won't sound right that's why i use the C barre....then when i come to the chorus i use the regular C:) hope that helped!!

  • Why doesn't it sound right? to me it sounds either off tune or just not right

  • wtf is a cbreeee?

and i dont know how do i do that strum?

  • @hello2me2300 C Barre It is the first chord i do and i can't tell you how to strum....you can do that yourself.

  • @brygggan i cant see where u put your fingers though, and why cant you tell me how to strum? When u do it it sounds better :D

  • @hello2me2300 But i say where i put my fingers on the video and the strum....you have to feel it yourself. You'll get it eventually!!:)

  • @brygggan ok thx for the help :)

  • great tutorial. this is great. i still don't understand the "loosening" to get that sound though..

  • @rthrbcurling When you do that you don't push on the strings....you just let your hand rest on the strings so you get that "clucking" sound and then push on the strings to break the silence!

  • @brygggan AH! Awesomel That helps out a lot! Cheers from Canada!

  • @0maybeitsme0

Thank You! I'm glad to help

  • Cheers dude. Great song and your tutorial helped me alot. Many thanks !

  • Haha thanks! i'm glad it helped:)

  • what is the first chord you hit and how many times

  • I play a C Barre and i play and sing at the same time so don't know how many times

i hit it...you got to feel it....i play it until the chorus.

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me, or is your guitar out of tune on this one? Other than that, great rhythm, good lesson.

  • I don't think so cause i tuned it before i did the video:) Thanks for the comment!

  • you're right, with open c is more difficult but sounds better

  • Yeah But in the rythm i use a C Barre and then a C Major with open strings

  • I dont get how the rythm is after the "Golden ladder" thing, when u start play: Hear the trumpets hear the bipers" With the fingers on the guitar :/ im trying but I dont get it is it down, up, up down o_O...

  • I don't know how to explain that ....it's the feeling i guess:). You just try and try and i think you'll get it in the end!

  • Yea, I'll keep trying =)

  • it really is the feeling...

first time i tried it felt way bad!

now i play like a master

    xD

  • Hahhaha..that's great man:)

  • You know i wanted to play this so i could fit into the Dawn Of The Dead intro lol thx nice tutorial man

  • Haha ok!

Thanks i hope you found what you were looking for:) Great movie by the way!

  • how do you stop the sound suddenly?

    it went

    C

    C quick stop

    :l

  • You keep your fingers on the c but you let go a tiny bit so theyre resting on it

  • That's right:)

  • @MrMachineima

it doesnt sound good when I do that..

    :l

  • Practise until it sounds good...it sounded like shit for me in the beginning to:)

  • I heard how you demonstrated how but I think I'm playing it wrong...

you rest your fingers on all the strings?

because thats the only way i get the sounds you make when you rest your fingers on the strings...

or is it just the c chord strings you rest your fingers on?

    :l

  • When i hold the C Barre chord i first pull and then rest all the fingers to get the clicking sound. Yes it's just the C on the verse then you play normally.....maybe i'm explaning it wrong?:(

  • :l

so you do rest all the fingers?

  • yes!:)

  • I was practicing right now and i got the rythem!

    thanks!

    :D

  • You're welcome

  • is it an F major or minor?

  • F major

  • how to play f major?

    :l

    sorry

    xD

  • nvm i got it!

    thanks for answering my questions!

    xD

  • No Problems:)

  • I just noticed the first time you play the C is different then the second time..

    :l

  • Yes because it wouldnt sound like the original if you played the first C all the time:)

  • Oh I see

    ok

    Off to practice transitions!

  • cool! thx , man hör att du e svenne!

  • hahah ja ja säger ju aa hela tiden;)

  • very nice! Now time to practice practice practice

  • Thanks!!! You do that:)

  • Nice Axe man....

  • Hahah Thanks man:)

  • around the 1:19 mark anyway. But honestly this is pretty brilliant.

  • Thanks You!:)

  • Yo. This is fantastic dude. I'm trying to do the C chord like you, but your hand looks too low and close together. Whats your trick?

  • Thanks! I hold 1 finger over the 3rd fret and then the other fingers like a A chord as if you played with a capo on the 3rd fret:)
