  • the reason we dont use x-wings for these types of missions is that y-wings have better armor and are equiped for this type of mission

  • @samushunter242 I would agree with the use of Y-wings against a armor convoy of corvettes, but against unarmored freighters. A strike force of 4 X-wings with some basic flight ability (above AI) would handle the convoy and escorts very well.
