    Saw the knees get a bit wobbly on the last few reps - wasn't sure u were gonna make it!

    You go really deep into the movement as well - many people don't realize how much of a difference there is between deep and "normal" squats!

    Btw, I am now up to 120kgs squats, currently weigh 80kgs, and don't use a back support.

    How important is it to do so? I've heard arguments for both sides.

  • could just be natural, My knees do the same thing regardless of when i lifting or not I have a loose joints so they often snap and make horrible noices but its not harmful or anything

    her knees did come in on almost every rep...which you do not want to allow...

    hip movement seemed fine though. looked as though she kept the weight on her heels and sat back rather than down

  • This is amazing, very inspiring. When I tell people that I want to lift they always tell me "ew, why would you want to do that?", but I love feeling strong and seeing what the body can do. Our body's have such amazing potential, it'd be a shame not to put it to use.

  • It happens when fatigue sets in and/or the weight gets heavy and the stabilizer muscles and those that facilitate the lift are weak and the weakness becomes more profound and evident. Under these circumstances, this is when you would see an extreme BLOWOUT of the knee in Powerlifting under EXTREME loads. But in sets of 10 there won't be a problem as the fatigue would cause the lifter to stop and/or the brain will send and inhibitory response to STOP due to instability at the joint.

    I noticed a lot of high level weightlifters track their knees in slightly as they're coming up, is this coached? Or is it something that just develops over time?

  • I'm confused, I don't know anything about weight lifting can someone tell me how she is able to lift all of that wieght? This can't be real how much wieght is actually on that bar? She doesn't look like she can lift anything like that. This isn't real.

  • looks legit to me. you'd be suprised what loads can human body lift when trained properly. obiously she trained a long time to achieve this kind of strength.

    there's a video on youtube showing a 75kg scrawny guy squat 350kg on nationals.

  • those are bumper plates so they look a little bit bigger than normal. It is legit though.

  • I respect this girl's strength, big time. But you can't tell me that bouncing at the bottom of a Squat is good for your knees. And it makes the lift easier, like bouncing the bar off of your sternum in a Bench Press.

  • I'd notice it too...bouncing on the buttom. Off course, I respect her too...She might be lifting about more than 2 times her own bodyweight...is like a man lifting 10 reps 180 or 200 Kg

  • Actually this particular method of back squatting is very healthy for the knees. Stopping at parallel puts more stress on the knees. Bouncing out of the bottom, when timed right, does make it easier to lift the weight, but this mimics the technique of recovering from a heavy clean, so is a useful technique to practice. It's nothing like bouncing the bar off your sternum in a bench press, because you're still lifting the weight the whole time...

  • very nice and strong ..but cara can u help me to solve my problem nowadays i facing problem of my left leg going inwards while squatting even at 80-90% of my personal best so whole load comes on right leg and bcoz of that i m virtually squatting with my right leg alone and next days it creates pain in right leg can u tell me any specific workout to fix this problem Thanks :-)

  • I got them from Bud Charniga's Dynamic Fitness website originally, and then I went straight to the Rehband company. They are called Rehband Knee Sleeves. There are a couple of options in terms of thickness ( 3mm, 5mm, etc) Hope that helps!
