its true. its subjective and there's always a critic. but you can't argue that the Simpsons hasn't changed. I haven't watched any new episodes since 2000.

Ok "comic book guy"(sonicfreeze) Now I'm not a half of a century old, but I have been around long enough to have watched The Simpsons from the beginning, I would love to hear your actual point.. instead of just thumbs downing me and not backing up your opinion. I was just saying the humor has stayed very much the same, and the reason people complain and get bored is that it does not continually push the moral envelope.
I think the show had a gradual shift in style as it went on, in the beginning the humour is mainly based around social satire, its very true to life and in some ways can even be insightful, somewhere around the 3rd or 4th series they started shifting towards non sequiter random nonsence humour, characters would suddenly appear in people's houses for no reason, and would do things out of character. Episodes originally had core storylines, but became nothing more than a random course of events.

Wow man, you guys are douches, the only thing that has changed in 20 years is YOU. Simpsons hasn't changed, they have done a good job in keeping it OG. FOX brought in Family Guy for the "darker" humor just so The Simpsons would stay true.
The best part was when he had eaten so much he was laying on the floor struggling to breathe and he typed that out. It's to bad this show sucks ass now.

People were saying the show sucked ass when this episode came out. "Fans" have been calling every episode "worst episode ever" since about the 2nd or 3rd season.
