Jackson and Bruns were both provoking the hawks all day. Bruns was a sniper and had comitted dog acts (like the one he copped) in the first and second quarters. What Matthews did was ordinary, but anyone who says he was gutless clearly knows nothing about the game. One of the toughest and hardest players ever, and Bruns pissed him off too much that day. If they had have squared of face to face the result would hve been the same.

this happened out of frustration, he was having a dirty day and about a minute earlier gave away wat he thought was a dodgy free kick. It all built up and with what was going on already during the qtr with all the fighting it was only a matter of time before he lashed out. unfortunately bruns just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Lethal has noone to blame but himself for that incident, but it 100% WAS Jackson that started all the ill-feeling that day. He was belting and sniping anyone that came within his vicinity in that 2nd half.

I didn't say Bruns was a girl because he got king hit. I already conceded that was very ordinary. The criticism of Bruns comes because he was a dirty little prick himself, who was happy to live and die by the 'players code', as outdated as it seems now. As soon as HE was on the receiving end though, you could hear him squealing miles away.

Lethal got 4 weeks BTW, which was a fairly hefty 1985 suspension. And the court appearances that followed were an absolute joke.
