Wow... next time you guys fire up a motor for the first time you guys should try and keep your face away from the top of the carb. You guys may have a good laugh or the that guy on the throttle coulda lost his beard pretty fast.
You know what the funny part is? About a month later he was pulling the same routine and lost about half the hair on his head/side of his face. That thing was real cranky when cold. Laughed my ass off :-)

Roughly 10.5 with good quench, pistons are the old standby TRW forged "12.5" with the domes milled down to an acceptable level for pump gas. Old and very clever trick.
yup. you have the same cam that I have. It has a nice lumpy idle, but not too overpowering to stall the motor. I am running a stock pontiac w-72 manifold on mine though. Everything is stock outside, but it is a beast inside!!!
In that clip: Victor Jr. and a Comp solid, .652/308 single pattern. Wound like hell and sounded like an old Pro Stock mill. Switched to a .690/.702 290/300 Crane (RIP) cam in the later clips. Idles tons better and I actually have vacuum for brakes!
