  • It was good but they didn't really have the blues. They probably should have done something on his first album

  • i loved this! i've been looking for this song and when the ship comes in sung by these guys. i'm so pleased you put it on here!

  • Good tune, good movie. I was happy to see a biography that wasn't constructed from the same old "template" as other biographical movies such as Ray, The Doors, Walk the Line, etc. This was different, unique, and wonderfully artistic. Having a fictional character represent each stage of Bob Dylan's career was a genius call...

  • Gotta love Richie Havens, could listen to his music forever. Never understood why so much people hate the movie btw. In my modest opinion, an intelligently structured mosaic of extremely well observations and acting, put in a delicious visual coat and soundscape, is the only complexity that does right to Dylan.

  • only good part of the movie

  • these guys got the blues !

  • this kid rocks! thanks for posting it.

  • @iristoro Try the greenster.

  • man oh man sweet stuff!

  • haha this is great , love this kid

  • nice tune, wheres this guy bob at?lol

  • Dare I say it, I like this version better then the original. Richie Havens = Legend. And I love that beard. Seriously, that beard should be on dollar bills.

And I loved "I'm Not There" - it's a film by Dylan fans for Dylan fans.

  • thats one talented kid.

  • Watch "No Direction Home" , then watch "I'm Not There".

It really makes following the movie easier and you get alot more out of it.

I wasn't able to follow the movie until i saw it.

  • @a1n9g5u5s I agree. A lot of the quotes come from "No Direction Home" and "I'm Not There" does feature a documentary format similar to "No Direction Home".

  • Anyone have an idea of these chords??? PLEASE GET BAC

  • marcus carl franklinn!

  • Spot on. When I saw this interpretation by Richie I thought I was in for a good movie. Alas this was the only good part.

  • @spoonerflash Interesting that you think this is a "corny interpretation of what people thought it was like" since this is the only movie about Bob Dylan (and there's been many) that Dylan gave permission to use his music.

  • @Finbel Interesting that you think that I think that when that quote can not be attributed to me. Verry interesting.

  • @toober101 Did you not respond "Spot on" to that quote?

  • @Finbel And your point is? You made a mistake when you ascribed the quote to me. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean I said it. You are wrong and that is a fact Jack.

  • @anewyorkthing yeah, no, the film was not so great, but the soundtrack was fucking awesome.

  • i wish that thay played this song all way through!!! i mean richie havens!!!! thanks for this!!!!

  • There is a complete version of this song, it is available on itunes too! (just look for the soundtrack to this album). This song is pretty awesome (I prefer it to the original).

  • fave part of the film :))

  • @majka7 mine, too.

  • i love thisa part so much :)

  • Wow! What's the name of the film? I'd like to find it here in Spain. Thanks a lot :D

  • I'M NOT THERE

  • Thanx :)

  • I'm not there. It's the story of the many different stages of Bob Dylans life/career. Also this is my favorite song from the song. Haven has such a dry beautiful voice and he was also the first act at Woodstock.

  • I'll search it in some DVD store.

Yeah, Havens voice and guitar style are incredible!

    Thanks a lot!

  • its called: I'm not there

  • Great!!!

  • This was probably my favourite part of the movie that kid is the future of the blues

  • love this part

  • The "bearded actor" is Richie Havens-he performed at the original Woodstock. Look into him, very talented

  • great movie just bought it

  • i love how in the movie

they've got music from a different part of his life where it dosent fit chronologically.

like this is his fictoinal story about train hoppin round the wild west and theyve got that kick ass track from 65 playin where he was this totally different enigma.

  • i couldn't believe my eyes when i realized that that's richie havens playing that guitar!!!

    great song, and nice version!

  • They want you to buy the soundtrack for the full version. Har har.

  • yeah, you're probably right!

    haha :D

  • richie havens is an amazing guitarist

  • Best bit of the film!

  • agreed!

  • Love this film

  • You should put Haven's surname 'Richie' at the tags, I think everybody's searching on 'richie havens tombstone blues' ;-)

    Anyway, thanks for uploading!

  • been there done that
