you need to not let it. when you click the properties of the wow icon the desktop you make it so it wont launch with the launcher so it wont look for an update.

yeah worst case scenerio you f up your wow folder. if you do that just run the blizzard repair tool in the folder of the game or the start menu. or if u really want to, just fix it urself.

I cant get a private server but, if you keep the details that you change under realmlist.wtf i think u can get normal wow back. dont trust me tho. to be safe i downloaded WoW again(not BC or WoTLK) and edited that. im thinking of trying again for the private server. im REALLY gonna read up on it first though dont wana lose my 42 Druid =S

My monthly fee just ended on the Blizzard WoW server. i was getting sick of paying a monthly fee so i want to give private servers a try. I did everything it asked for in the video and it comes up with the Ice Castle and dragon when i start up wow. it asks for account name and password like normal. i put in my account from the private server. Didnt log me in. Should i delete all my patches? and then will it let me in? or should i do the repair thing?

well for most of the newer servers you do. toxic was shut down because they were behind on the bills costing to run the server.

Yes when you modify the target it makes it so wow can not patch itself unless you tell it to.
