Sad, but it was Speedle's own fault. His gun jammed because he never cleaned it, even though it almost got him killed once before. That's the reason Horatio hired Ryan Wolfe, the dude has an almost OCD-like obsession with gun maintenance.

i just hate that tim died by not cleaning his gun, he just never seemed like the kind of guy that would almost die, then create the situation to get himself shot AGAIN! Even Rori C. said that he hated the way Speed died, that it was too expected, he said that if he would have chosen how Speed died he would have done it a lot creatively. Not so boring, why would he get shot again, he said that he should have died saving someones life, even Rori C was pretty pissed.

no actually ryan has no involvement with horatio being shot. horatio took out his phone right before he was shot. its kinda bad timing when you think about it...because Horatio sent a message to Ryan saying his family was safe by saying "Its done." Besides if you remember when the bad guy said to tell him when "its done" a text went to Ryan, not the bad guy. They're just setting up for season 9.

In the May 5, 2008 episode, Alexx Woods resigned from CSI Miami. The ending of that episode, with Alexx saying goodbye to the cast, was another sad moment - beautifully filmed with a musical background. Hope that scene gets on YouTube.
