@MasterLadyGiygas Giygas got his two games. This time it was Porky's turn. In a way, I feel like Giygas lived on through Porky, clearly, Porky carried on Giygas' dream of destroying Earth.

no it was changed in earthbound to pokey but brawl changed it back to keep in consistent with mother 3/earthbound2 only released in japan but i've played
Nintendo made a nice step forward with making porky an SSE boss in SSBB, as well as re-making Porky's Theme and Unfounded Revenge(yokuba battle) and putting them in SSBB.
I am praying to god they release this on the Wii Shop channel by Christmas, the English Translation version is going soooo slow....

If you can consider anyone the "leader" of the people on the island, it's Leda, the bellringer. He even says that he was chosen to lead because of his height, so he kept his memory and vowed to never speak unless "That time" came. Pokey just had New Pork City created and claimed himself ruler of all existence.
Actually if King Pokey/Porky took over Nowhere Island, then He pretty much took over the world as well. Nowhere Island is the last habitable place on the planet thanks to the power of the Dragon that sleep under it. Everything else is pretty much devastated thanks to centuries of wars and pollutions caused by the human race itself.
Ness doesn't have the story that Lucas has, so personally I think Lucas is a better character, and Mother 3 is better than Mother 2. It's a very beautiful ending to the best single player game trilogy ever made.
So,Ness is better than Lucas. Endig?/ they both have similar endings.. and u know what ness can beat Lucas. I like Ness story better than Lucas... sure Lucas suffered.. that doesnt make him better.. haha looks like I missed something in my own video. Towards the end, when I'm scoring combos on the absolutely safe capsule, even though it says I'm doing no damage, at the end when it says the number of hits in the combo, it says I did that much damage. (Ex. 2 hits = Total Damage: 2)
Maybe the absolutely safe capsule isn't as absolutely safe as we thought it was? :P
Pokey isn't the final boss, actually. Pokey used his Spider Mech to travel through space and time, assembling an army from all time periods before and after Mother 2 up to now, but eventually he no longer could travel through time, leaving him stuck in that time. (I think he couldn't travel anymore because of his aged body). So he stayed in that time, brought hundreds of people from the past to there, and assembled an army, thusly taking over what remained of the world.

damn, mother franchise is very strong indeed, it makes you feel lots of emotions, hope they release mother 2 on VC, i really love that game... as for this one... i kinda lost all hope of a release
Actually in Super Smash.Bros Brawl the Masterpieces mode has Mother 2:Giyg Strikes Back(EarthBound) that you could play for a short amount of time. But they only have plans for the Japanese Virtual Console. No one knows if it's coming to the American Virtual Console.
In Mother 2 Pokey struck me as the stereotypical annoying fat neighbor kid that really wants to be your friend but you want nothing to do with him. His entire roll in that game fits perfectly with what he is in Mother 3. He was such a coward, so unwilling to fight against anything that may be stronger than him, he would side with evil to prove to no one but himself that he wasn't one of the chosen ones. I hated him then, and I hate him now. Beating up an old man has never been so fun.

There won't be an English version because Mother 2(EarthBound) didn't sell that good because people were interested in 32-bit(Sega Saturn) games so because of that their not releasing Mother 3(EarthBound 2) here because not much people will buy it. Here in America people are interested in new games but I like them both.

Japanese do not have a natural "r" sound in there language, when writing a name for phonetics the japanese end up with "poky" instead of "porky"

Ness doesn't have the story that Lucas has, so personally I think Lucas is a better character, and Mother 3 is better than Mother 2. It's a very beautiful ending to the best single player game trilogy ever made.
