Das ist schon wahr, aber alles kann man nicht so perfekt übersetzen.

There is always a balance between literal and figurative translations - but I think it is also important not to be overly critical or perfectionistic. The general idea of the song is conveyed.

Natürlich hast du recht, aber ich bin mit dem Autor in Kontakt getreten und habe ihm eine bessere Übersetzung in Englisch sowies eine fehlerfreie deutsche Version geschickt.

You are right in this point, but I did not only say it´s wrong but have sent a better english translation (as I think) and a german version without mistakes in it.

In the spirit of your comment, you would have to be informed that the "correct English" would read as follows:

"You are right concerning this point" NOT "You are right in this point."

My point: language errors happen, but what is so wonderful about this posting is that an old German song is shared with many who know little about the German culture - other than what TV portrays. I am grateful to MM for singing in German; and gladly overlook an error the fans or staff may make. Bravo MM!
