  • Thanks. Fascinated by English accents ever since I lived in England and Scotland for two years as a Canadian.

North America has no idea of the wealth of different accents and dialects that exist over in the UK. On this side of the pond, that number doesn't exceed 10 while in the UK you drive to the next village and the accent changes.

  • if your a scouser, then im a 43 year old jamaican with a speech impedement.

  • Just spending my whole weekend trying to turn my currently scottish sounding scouse accent into something more understandable.

I hate Blood Brothers now. Just Saying.

  • haha im not the only one doing blood brothers for my exam then xD

  • @DaniDamagee Exact same thing! XD gotta be Sammy :)

  • @ApacheDemon ive gotta play Linda :L pretty worried about it :S still, i did drop music to do drama instead, music was so much worse ;D

  • @DaniDamagee Yeah i dropped a subject for it too, linda is a very important role near the end and i hope you do well in your exams :) me being part Irish and living in London has made my accent slightly difficult to master since if i do get it going the accent going it ends up turning Irish :/ anyway not to hate on this video or anything but its not too helpful, just look up videos of people speaking with a scouse accent (e.g. in any soap) and copy that. :)

  • @ApacheDemon ahh we arent doing the whole play, we are all split into groups and have to do a scene each. my group got lucky, we got a small one and ive only got a few lines (: i suck at all accents, ill never master this one xD i dont even know what accent i have :L im cornish but now i live in dorset... wish i lived in london :D

  • @DaniDamagee yeah Londons great, and lucky with the scene things, we have to do pretty much every scene. And half my class cant act... the accent is important because a mark band is use of voice. So even if the accent is completely shit (which i doubt it will be) you will still get marks for changing your voice.

  • @ApacheDemon hahaa cool (y) good luck with your exam too btw (:

  • @ApacheDemon :L I'm doing Blood Brothers too, I'm Mickey and I also have to play eddie for a scene for moderators :') I just cant do scouse at all :L

  • @TheLoveGimps ee it is australian I think,I am from Slovak but I got gift know accent,For me greatest accent had my George

  • this is sooo not scouse !!!

  • what is this shite

  • BLOOOOOD BROTHERS. I NEED to know this.

  • Like this if your watching it to do a blood brothers exam.

  • @abibix I wish I fucking watched this vid when I was doing it because when I did it I tryed to do a scouse but I came out with a fucking Manx one :LL

  • I'm not sure if it's part of scouse accent, but the beatles pronounce "g" at the end or beginning of a word very clearly. Like "glaring" or "thinking", compared to American accent ( not like there is only one of them though) it's very noticeable

  • You sound like Mrs. Weasley :D

  • @HHHdahman Julie walters is a northern english actress so its near liverpool

  • Umm no Julie walters is from the midlands which is near brimingham nowhere near liverpool thats in the North west of England lol your way off.

  • Your a severe wool

  • what the hell why would you be sad enough to do this

  • I want to learn it for drama, were doing The Day Out by Willy Russel. I always endup Irish though...

  • you sound 20% fake scouse the rest nahh you should just speak in your real accent because this doesn't sound good .. to a real scouser you just sound weird ??

  • This is so going to help with my devised play for drama - thank you ;D

  • my friend and I are studying in liverpool (we're from the U.S.) so this might help

  • This is funny.

  • @Tarn1968 Thanks Tarn,....John Lennon's accent in some ways was unique,I was born in 1967+it says "Lancashire" on my birth certificate..we became Merseyside in 1973... JL's accent really is quite "old Lancs" He came from a pretty middle class area of south Lpool .I love John Lennon, his humour incredibl;). I wonder if his accent was a bit "affected" as L'pool was v fashionable in the 60's .PPl around me in south L'pool had softer voices than the north which has greater Irish catholic roots ;)

  • @Kkktttsccchh greatest accent had George no way :>

  • Lovely voice

  • can you teach me to talk like Jamie Carragher?

  • Hahaha sort it babe you dont even sound anything like a scouser.

  • I'm in Australia! but my families Scouse very good !!

  • This made me piss ma self! too funny "It was the most convincing thing I've ever seen soo" haha

    Very good though !!!

  • thank you this is perfect!

  • I'm from Liverpool...funny there is a very distinct difference in dialect between north+south Liverpool.....alot of these says I don't know...but the older words are pure Lancashire...Liverpool was in Lancs until 1973..so I am a Lancashire lass really. The influence of the Irish is so strong in the older terms ...really fascinating..I've noticed the drug terms of the 80's 90's really crept into everyday speach with the younger people...must admit tho' I don't understand alot of the kids,,,thanks

  • you are a fucking idiot. sort ya head out ya daft bitch

  • sorry, im not a scouser but live in a town near liverpool and this is NOTHING like a scouce accent.... :)

  • @Ammyy95 It says several times I'm living in Australia now and have lived in other areas of England. I'm teaching terms not the sounds. I never called myself proper scouse.

  • I'm a scouser, and we speak NOTHING like this!

  • You sound just like Lister from Red Dwarf. Awesome!!
