I bought the video set. I personally enjoy it. It's basic details that no one never really explained to me. It always states to play catch and release for safety (especially reverse heel hooks). He's a different style of teacher than the one from my gym, and variety is good. Take what you like, let go what you don't. Worth the money i spent ( my opinion). Of course, you need to pratice the moves to get good at it...I'm considering to buying the choke ones for Gi-No-gi.
I hope you guys promote safety as well. I appreciate the technique, but i loathe those who crank without restraint. And there's always one guy at every gym fucking it up for everybody. No Gi Pan-Ams of 2010 had over 6 - 7 broken limbs. A good number of them were leg and foot locks. Leg locks and foot locks are undoubtedly useful, so let's use them properly, and make sure we cut back on the 'accidents' in tournaments. Love the video! Just wanted to say my peace.
@rockos414 Understood. Safety always comes first- especially in training. That being said, I think it's a disservice at the BJJ schools that won't allow leg locks because of the danger. Chokes are pretty dangerous too- but those are encouraged. I understand the difference, and that leg locks do cause a lot of injuries- but that's not to say that we shouldn't train them at all. To your point, we should all train and use them CAREFULLY!
@TechniquePrevails what is really funny is how my Catch Wrestling is on the comeback. I have to say how important it is to train exactly careful but in throwing it is like that. It is how you work on stuff and what kind of school you have.
@rockos414 I think there is always someone in the Gym fucking it up for everyone period!!!,that is one of the reasons I rarely train in a gyms anymore, 3 years of 3 times a week with guys who in some cases do anything to tap you out takes it's tole. It sucks really. And comps are even worst, talk about guys just pumped to the max on adrenaline trying to break your head off, hell trying to break anything off, feet, arms, wrists, give me dojo with a cool vibe with respect for each other anyday...

@silatguy That's up to Scott. Not sure if it'll last until Christmas, but I certainly wouldn't plan on it lasting after Christmas.
