I don't really understand why everyone's having a go at Brett just because he's not "a tortured soul" or because he doesn't have true "angst." Why does that have anything to do with being an interesting person or making brilliant music? It's a sad world if the only reason people are so obsessed with Kurt Cobain and Richey James/Edwards etc. because they killed themselves. Brett's an extremely talented person, why does he have to be compared to other people?

If you'd been to a gig in 1991/92 and seen them live they were pretty awesome.The early lyrics are very good, the music from 1992-1994 is excellent.

i agree, i think muscially they had something going on which does stand them apart from other brit bands and also stands the test of time, hence me looking them up on you tube in the first place! it's just this interview annoys me. I do find him so pretentious but like you say it's all about the music. I can't help thinking though underneath it all brett is a really straight normal bloke but what the hell do i know!
