  • I want this video on my m21i phone.

  • Why are people saying that's scary, infra-red is everywhere - you constantly get bombarded by it with things like automatic doors, auto-focus on cameras, tv remotes, etc, you probably get lots more IR rays from sunlight even on a cloudy day than what you get from Kinect.

  • Last comment got cut off..oops.. I do think the Kinect is going to prove harmful to people, lets keep in mind Bill Gates is not a good man.

  • This is very scary...I talked myself into getting a Kinect this week, and that little red laser pointed at my eyes had me concerned..after seeing this and reading a few other things about it, it's not going to be in my house much longer!

There's a guy on another forum that did a test on the amount of radiation projected on you by the Kinect-according to his test it is 3 times the amount Microsoft says it is.

Thanks for the video! Really interesting. I do think the Kinect is going to prove h

  • Your vid went viral on Yerevan

  • NZ !!!!! WOOT GO NZ!

  • i was going to write a commet asking why the hell you would do that, but its actually pretty interesting

  • Wow, thanks for that! Awesome idea and really fascinating!

  • IR Mocap dots. That's how it works.

  • looks cancerous

  • Hahaha, you say kinect like Borat would say it!

  • I tried the same thing with my modern warfare goggles but i didnt see anything ur kinect must be fucked up or something

  • looks like a hotel while using blacklight

  • I'd hate to break it to you, but your room has smallpox.

  • That is awesome!!

  • Makes me wonder if all of those little dots are not healthy or cause any form of cancer or other bad things. :(

  • @SandpiperN121PP It will never give you cancer, nor eye injuries, etc. It is a class 1 laser, so it is safe to be exposed to it indefinitely."

  • Essa porra deve dar cancer!

    xD

    foda-se!!!

  • that is kinda scary

  • @Triking4life1 they come with prrestige edition

  • look how advanced kinect is thats how they track everything in the room!

  • its not infrared.

  • Dude what's with all the snipers in your room?

  • and now a robot somewhere knows exactly what your room looks like and what you have..

  • nwo is watching us

  • i can see infrared with my CELL PHONE CAMERA!!! your camerea is prob REALLY CHEAP!!! my cell phone was free and my sister's was ten bucks

  • @TheChickenrun3 you are such a badass.. this is youtube, no one really cares..

  • @Al3xX256 no one cares about your life.

  • @TheChickenrun3 That was so mature.. I wish i was back in the second grade.. And btw, GOOD! i hope no one does.. if you didnt catch it in the first response, THIS IS YOUTUBE! it doesnt matter if they do or dont.. point is, no one cares about how you try to respond people with the most dumb response.. In the end, you still a troll.. ON YOUTUBE. so i might as well build you a bridge so you can kindly go live in it to go FUCK YOURSELF.. lololollolol youtube

  • @Al3xX256 A second grader is too stupid to say that you mother fucker.

  • You dont need the goggles, digital cameras usually see the IR anyway. You can use your cell phone for example.

  • @bfr666 Yeah i find that out when i made a picture (with mobile) of someone while he used a remote of the tv.

  • wow thats cool

  • Wait, can't all cameras see infrared light? I mean even my shitty cell phone camera can see the infrared light on the end of remote controls...

  • thats nightvision not infrared, but thats ok its a comman misconception, and what the fuck you got those with MW2?...................................wheres my care package :( thats ok.

  • @tricking4life1 nightvision uses infrared

  • Cool I've got kinect and those dumb goggles so imma go try it now!

  • Someone has too much money to spend on gaming stuff

  • i want kinect, do i need an xbox or can i just buy camera?

  • @FuckMeBlind69 You will need an Xbox 360 to use Kinect. However, if you're a developer, you can use it with a PC. Keep in mind though, using it for the PC is NOT for the common user. Currently it's only for developers to toy with.

  • Wow, I'm amazed. Thanks for posting this!

  • Well I'd do it with a good IR camera....but I don't have a Kinect. I'll remember this for if I ever do get one though. My wife wants one.

  • nice find!

  • cool! still you should of used a cheap webcam instead of nightvision goggles.

  • On your junk.

  • 50,000 points of light to be precise!!!!!

  • I could listen to you say "Kinect" all day.

  • DISCO TIME!!!

  • also sensors sense, transmitters...transmit...

  • (for all of you who are stupid) Those dots that you see are emitted by kinect's Infrared Sensors. It does that so that it could track your body's movement while also being semi-dependent on normal light.

His digital camera does not have night vision.

  • @ImaginativeCorndog if the second part is in reference to my question, i can see the IR light from a remote control on a camera phone...which i guarantee does not have night vision

  • WTF!?!?!?!?!

  • ok maybe iim being dumb but why i can i see the the IR transmitter light thing on my remote control using my camera? is it because its LED IR?

  • @mcspeed2000 Yep. Our eyes (human) can not see the IR as our senses are not efficient. I use a camera to check a remotes' batteries. Been doing that since like 1996 ever since I discovered it by mistake with my JVC Camcorder.

  • @warrengonline so why does this guy need to use infrared goggles to see the dots?

  • how many thousands of people have told you to turn off your LED on your camera!!!!

  • Can you put other video using the IR goggles but with out Kinect for can see the difference... Thanks.

  • @BioTechMx

You can't see the difference? In case your wondering those dots are not from his goggles at all....its all from the connect.

  • That looks pretty weird o_O;

Kinect has extra software released which are purchasrf with Kinect tokens.

Use this video for your Kinect tokens, free! youtube.com/watch?v=OONtsRWJNXs

  • Nice video mate!

  • Well, unfortunately I've found too much people like that lately, but yes, generalising is just as ignorant as the attitude I'm critizising, so sorry about that, people!

  • "Kineect" <3

  • Reminds me of those (huge cluster of) guns with the laser-sights. *Charge up sound*

  • Awesome. Also: yay kiwi number 8 wire innovation! NZ leads the world, yet again. =)

  • Oh my god, it's full of stars!

  • whoa,...

  • WOW that's just crazy! So it outputs IR dots all over the room huh? Wish I didn't see this video cuz it kinda freaks me out a little lol.

  • Very cool. Thanks for posting. I do have a high-def camera with infrared sensor, so I'll try it tonight (there's too much sunlight in my living room during the day). If it comes out Ok, I'll post the result.

  • That's wild! Thanks for posting.

  • this is the most i have heard you talk cullan :D

  • @ClassicSegaGamer haha maybe.

  • Kinect? Nah, this is how the forensics look for sperm. Now, dude, the ceiling IS kinda impressive.

  • This is cool. Thanks for sharing the info. Nope, we're Nintendo in this house. But I'm sure they'll be doing it eventually too.

  • Huh interesting...hmm i wonder if it was really necessary for him to use the IR goggles though seeing as some video cameras are actually capable of picking up infrared light even without a night vision cam

  • Wow that's cool

  • This might seem weird but regarding the comments about Americans. Yeah sure some are like that and some arnt. But beside that if anyone plays xbox live they will realise that most of if not all @13yr or pre pubescent american boys dont shut up and have squeely voices. Thankfully puberty hits and they end up with a not to bad accent

  • wow, that cannot be good for your health.

  • @monckey100 Sorry, but this is starting to annoy me. Every video about this I go on, there is a comment like this. To you and everybody else who is thinking this: THIS IS JUST INFA-RED LIGHT! What danger do you think could infa-red light do? Its even used on the Wii censor bar. Are you by any chance thinking of Ultraviolet light, that causes cancer? Check your science before you comment, and you should be more worried about your mobile phone.

  • @SheddyYT nerd rage!!

  • Comment removed

  • @jhflif lol :)

  • @SheddyYT I don't use a phone C: and that shit does heat up the house quite a bit. which in turn despite i didn't state what part of your health it's not good for, it still inflicts your health and may cause burns if left on for too long

  • @monckey100 I KNEW you were going to say "I don't use a phone" lol :)

Well, I seriously doubt that anybody is going to stand in front of their Kinect long enough to be burnt by it. You would need much much more infrared light for that to happen.

  • @SheddyYT ah well i seriously don't, not social enough. If people want to contact me i just exchange msn. And infared still CAN cause cancer. and there are gamers out there who 24/7 shit, and this is no exception.

  • @monckey100 While infa-red light is considered ionising, it is extremely weak. It can only go through skin at a very very short distance and even then it will take a very long time to damage cells.

  • Have to ask as I am really not too familiar with the Kinect..but what happens if your dog or cat runs into the beams when you are playing? Does it then read both of your movements and act accordingly with regards to character movement

  • @lilebyte: You are right. I meant North Americans, but I just talked like they usually do ;-) (using the word "American" to refer to people from the USA). Again, this is just a generalisation and I understand not all "Americans" are like that; there is also more reasonable people out there.

  • That is freaking sweet.

  • So what he has mass jizz all around his room?

  • Any kind of camera can see Infrared light. That's what the goggles are. Just cameras with IR lights.

  • Keenicked

  • @OMA2k I just find it entertaining how people still get offended by comments made on the internet. Do you not understand that their only intention is to rile people up?

  • @YouniqueTekniq: That's a good point, but while some might be trolls, I don't think all of them are trying to troll, but just are genuinely like that ;-)

  • It looks like you good sir, have just entered the matrix.

  • WOW that looks beautiful. I might install IR lights all over my room. :O

  • So the kinect works by Jizzing all over your home. Amazing

  • thats sick.

  • carcinogen ?

  • Pets are not a problem if you turn off the kinect... Also a normal lamp emit IR...

  • @riseuplight Wow...

  • @riseuplight You're the part of the reason why some don't like us Americans. Here's a protip: he's speaking PROPER English.

  • @riseuplight

I actually think that his accent is more understandable that in some places in the US , and maybe you should check your ears because you may have a problem. Or more likely your ability to understand things is so poor, that you don't know what infrared is, and you thought it was a word in an other language.

  • who*

  • Hate being the one eho tells you this... but dude, you have small dots all over your room.

  • the fuck is this

  • @skat0r agreed!

  • That was cool, but dude clean your living room

  • Imagine your pet could see IR, it would go apeshit

  • @supercritical100 If you have a snake it can.

  • Kinect came out 2 days ago on the 4th....

  • howd u get kinect before the 18th? not that im gonna get it untill some better games come out anyway

  • I wonder if this will cause cancer???!?? Since everything else does lol

  • Nice vid!

But I just can't get over your accent. They way you say kinect is awesome :D

  • The dots are cool and all, but the way he says "Kinect" is probably the best part of this video.

  • That's pretty cool... I wunda if ull c a similar thing with the ps move

  • lol thats kwl!

  • Omg it doesn't give you cancer...doesn't anyone remember gcse science??

  • what the fuck is KIN-NEEECT

  • great post man,

  • That is a problem for Microsoft. They can get demanded because of this. It produces cancer

  • @outspolsis: "That is a problem for Microsoft. They can get demanded because of this. It produces cancer"

And where did you exactly get this bullshit information from? Just because you see a bunch of dots in this video you've come up with that stupid theory?. Just because this device produces thousands of tiny infrared lights it doesn't mean it produces cancer. Infrared light is just as safe as any other light in your home, just invisible for our eyes ;-)

  • @OMA2k Infrared light its used to kill cancer.

  • People saying kinect is giving you cancer are idiots. The IR is so weak it does absolutely nothing, your cell phone is more dangerous than kinect. If your that worried about radiation lock yourself in a lead room.

  • @MegaChanker Infrared has less energy than normal light,

I dont think theres too much danger of getting cancer.

Now back to your life!!! :P

  • Kinect Just gave me Cancer. fml.

  • I love skittles

  • the coolest thing you can do with the kinect. by far..

  • Kinect is racist. In doesn't recognize people with darker skin or tans. It's $150 waste of time and no better than the 10 year old EyeToy.

  • @RaymondFRevalee Your a fucking dumbass eyetoy was the biggest flop since the sega saturn...

  • This reminds me of those skittles commercials where everything is made of skittles.

  • KEENECT

  • All of those infrared dots are used to detect motion, thats why there so many of them.

  • Comment removed

  • Cancer

  • @selwonk I don't get why so many Americans are xenophobe enough that they get offended just by hearing someone with a foreign accent or even finding a comment in YouTube in a language other than English. The world is (fortunately) a lot more than your country!

  • @OMA2k I don't understand it either, and I'm one of them! Err, American, not xenophobe.

  • @OMA2k Would it not be better to say North Americans...or even better residents of the US. Otherwise a Canadian, Brazilian, Mexican can feel offended...America is more than the US you know.

  • @OMA2k hey, not everyone is like that. dont judge the majority by the minority

  • @tiger7892

OMA2k didn't say that "everyone" is like that. They said "so many Americans..." As an American myself I can honestly say that I agree with him/her. Of course all Americans aren't like that, but most are and that is the truth.

  • @OMA2k I like to think most of them are around the age of 14 and their parents never bothered to teach them better.

  • @OMA2k

Because unfortunately some of my American brothers are either redneck bastards who hate anyone other then people in their own click. Or ignorant douche bags who have more patriotism and or nationalism than respect, and a sense of equality. But rest assured not all Americans are xenophobic. So even though it seems appropriate please try and resist from generalizing.

  • @OMA2k the girls in nuts are hot

  • @OMA2k The same reason British people get xenophobic when they hear Americans, or French people. ITS CALLED NATIONALISM!

  • @OMA2k I agree, as an American I cringe when I see another bone headed American saying stuff like this. I mean A. this is the web, nothing new, thousands of languages at your fingertips and B. almost EVERY American has foreign origins to begin with. Walking through Boston today I must have heard 10 different languages being spoken around me. I guess if you live in some backwoods community you would be pretty ignorant, but still.

  • @OMA2k And you're somehow better then them by lumping all Americans into the same category. Kudo's to you bro, we're not all hypocritical douche bags.

  • @OMA2k

It's not that there are any more idiots per capita in this country, it's just that for some reason over the course of the last few years the simpletons (racists, bigots, etc.) decided they need to be loud and weigh in on everything. Now we have hicks seemingly everywhere picking up our global reputation right where George Bushy left off. That coupled with the already low popularity that the US has worldwide right now makes for a common perception of that sort thing. We're workin on it :)

  • @OMA2k Amen and CHEERS at the same time. I'm American, but I (like a many of my friends) have friends all over the world. But then I love diversity and as long as I can understand the situation or conversation, I'm good. I remember when i first heard the Dutch language, odd and very interesting. The thing that kind of sucked was they switch from Dutch, to Portuguese to Spanish in the 5 minute conversation (hubby and wife). Most Americans as lazy and ignorant. On my behalf, please forgive them.

  • @selwonk this poster is offensivley xenophobic and retarded

  • fucking dots, how do they work??

  • Freaky

  • i have goosebumps

  • Am I the only person who got scared while watching this?

  • /watch?v=nvvQJxgykcU

    looks much much better

  • infinite dots all the way! what does it means?

  • @amialegend

idk but its so bright, so vivid.

  • Kinect will give you cancer.

  • @Axapez Then the accent is wrong.

  • Kineykt.

  • It's infra-RED not infra-REED.

  • @drugbooda It's an accent, not a mispronunciation.

  • Turn the flash off on your video camera. Fuckin Austrians.

  • @Slutbuster2008 lol epic....either ur extremely funny..or just insanely stupid and ignorant
