  • Years ago, in a book I read, Buffett gave away

a recipe for a Hershey chocolate bomb... So,

here is me returning the favour :

Crush Cream Soda + half and half (cream).

The trick is, more soda, less cream. Try the

ratio, 10 : 1. You get this strawberry pink number.

    Tastes great, less filling.

  • Price is what you pay ; Value is what you get.

Again, you want to eat that which tastes good,

and something may look inexpensive, or be

a "free sample", but turn out to be quite costly.

'Mountain Dew' has to be the worst tasting soda

pop I took a gamble on. But 'Crush Cream Soda'

    is still "paying dividends".

  • Chewing gum... Your mouth is a very personal space, is it not?

I remember Munger making such a comment. And how Wrigley

chewing gum company has this great moat because a person is

not going to buy the competitor's offering to save a few pennies...

Eat that which tastes good... (Beware of gluttony though.)

Wrigley, I think was bought out by Mars, a privately held chocolate

bar company. I liked 'Big Red'. Wrigley no longer puts sugar in

their gum : They use "aspartame". Liked, past tense.

  • what did he say at the end? anybody who gave me the answer i would ...... ??? couldnt get the word seems i dont know it yet

  • This muthafuka don't know shit about business

  • @AIRTIGHT31 because your a billionaire and he is not right... i think he is plenty qualified to give this speech. Go fuck yourself...

  • @AIRTIGHT31 dude !!!! are u serious!!!! ur making a fool out of urself!!!! he is OF THE TOP RICHEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!! its like saying the sun does not exist !!!!

  • Warren Buffet's a self made billionaire, he's definitely tons smarter than me. But I'll still disagree with his statement of not getting into the internet business.

He's got a reason why he doesn't understand it - but surely there must be a way to evaluate internet, technology and media businesses. It's probably harder to see the value in intangible assets (such as intellectual property). Still, there's opportunities in these companies.

Ah, pay no attention to my bullshit - I'm full of crap.

  • @wetyewruyrtsutrdhjfg YUPP :D YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP :D

  • A word that should describe this man other than "Billionaire" is a word thats very well forgotten these days. It's "Gentleman". I don't know him personally (i wish i did) but just the way he speaks can tell you what character he has!

  • this is great. so glad to see these videos.

  • he actually has a great sense of humor as well which makes listening to him even more enjoyable.

  • If only it were this simple! I work from home and actually do make good money but I work hard. If anyone is interested in a REAL opportunity to make good money by working hard then join my team! Just email me: foster_236@hotmail.com or skype me for a chat on: anthony62155.

  • He knows marketing, he lives Dale Carnegie, & he swims in financial savvy.

  • im surprised there are only under 200,000 views.

  • Warren Buffet was asked to be god, but he turned it down because he knew it was a job he wouldn't love.

  • Is he endorsing for the root beer in this video?

  • @damthatriver09 no it's coke. he's a huge shareholder.

  • what does he man by motor on a castle? When he said molder, is he saying "molder", or "motor"?

  • @DrWho2008t101 he's saying moat around the castle

u know, like water/mud filled with crocodiles n shit, so enemies couldnt get into the castle in olden times...hes basically talking bout barriers to entry, he likes businesses where its not easy for competitors to come in and steal the business

  • @DrWho2008t101 ROFLLMAO - "motor on a castle " WAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAA

  • Great MBA program that Buffett has been involved with....youtube.com/watch?v=wy3K92iE6ow

  • Long live legal abortion, if the Bushes didn't do anything against it in 12 years, no one else will, thank gawd!!

  • there's something likeable about Buffett, but something - something deeper - leaves me completely cold. and rather disappointed.

he implies he doesn't like the basics of competition (you've something good & people will come & try to take it away from you) - i.e. its not nice to be on the receiving end...So his solution? Do it to others first. Nice :( & we wonder why there's so much stress & craziness in our economy. In this system there will ALWAYS be losers :( Surely we can do better...

  • @ProLifeHelp Im pro-abortion and I'm glad Warren is too. So fuck you

  • @ProLifeHelp I respect your right to have an opinion but I find your youtube crusading abhorrent. Your wasting your time and everyone elses by posting your propaganda here.

  • It's all about money!....if Warrren can save a time ...fuck american workers .look im a genious ....send the car manufactuers to other countrys ...and people reading this have toyotas in their driveways... americans are there own worst enemys...I FEEL SORRY FOR THE UNION WORKERS .......BUT THOSE JAP'S MAKE A HELL OF A CAR DON'T THEY....where can i buy a soccer ball to put in the back window!!!

  • Ah ...AH ...ah you never worked .quit saying you worked .....AH .....WHEN HAVE YOU EVER HAD A SHOVEL IN YOUR HAND.....your good at taking over companies and making money for yourself........KODAK BUY ....BUY....BUY ...BUY ...MUDY THE MOTE WITH CONFUSHION....GIVE ME TEN BILLION ....WHO IS GIVING HIM TEN BILLION....SOMEONE GAVE THIS GUY MONEY AND HE RAN WITH IT....DISTROY AMERICA ....SUCSESS ....EVERYTHING IS MADE OVERSEAS..

  • I'm seriously in love with this man...

  • The one thing I don't like about Buffett is that he talks about choosing ethical people to work with and yet he has heavy connections to Gates, a man who in both the case of the man himself and the product he peddles raises serious doubts about character.

  • Anybody who gave me an answer I'd flunk! lol!!!

  • lol "isn't tha tlike saving up sex for old age?| BEST QUOTE EVER

  • Many systems corner people out of options, people always want to find alternatives. People need alternatives and counter controls. Various vast Internet communities make it quick to accomplish the creations of alternatives and counter controls. Internet can be used to replace money for exchanges. People exchange only necessary resource & effort, not waste imposed by big corporations and wage. People work with people thousand miles away with communication and generously sharing knowledge.

  • blah blah blah, SHUT THE FUCK UP Y'ALL the oracle is speaking

  • you sir, are a moron. I'm guessing your investments have not performed well in the past year, and well, you probably thought attacking warren buffett was the best way to make yourself feel better. If you had read one-tenth of what this man has read, you'd no longer be wasting the time of youtube visitors who happen to unfortunately stumble upon your incoherent response which shows blatant ignorance of everything that has worked in stock investing.

  • Whether you believe me is of little importance, but I am on my way to a full education in both special situation & value investing- I am not a mindless follower.

The problem I had with your argument is that you disagree with his sense of humor with "flunking them all" on valuing an internet stock. If you can figure it out, you deserve to be rich.

You like to think in terms of entrepeneurship & promoting innovation, but all he does is recognize innovation at its finest & capitalize off of it.

  • @schn1eck7 What's a mote? is it a barrier or something?

  • @G00g284 Moat - it is a body of water right outside of the castle that makes it very difficult for invaders to invade

  • @G00g284 basically what Buffett is explaining is what he calls a "durable competitive advantage" (DCA) that a business has over its competitors. A normal competitive advantage would be being the only barbershop in town. Once another barber shows up, you lose your competitive advantage. A moat is basically a competitive advantage that can last for a long time (durable), even when new competitors show up. An example is Coca Cola's brand name or Dairy Queen's dilly bars.

  • absolutely...100%, and the success and money blinds people to the obvious JUST like Madoff in the same way. Its because alot of Americans arent educated among the upper classes, dont understand them, and are indoctrinated into weath worship and materialsm. It creates blindness to reason and common sense and that is how people like this take advantage of the common man. An honest education is the key to breaking it.

  • it's an education

  • Comment removed

  • Who are you talking about and why is it so funny that someone has not heard of warren buffet?

  • lol

  • This guy is brilliant

  • too bad he doesen't teach. He would be one professor i would love to have

  • Actually, that's exactly what he's doing his whole life :)

  • @lilmoje512 He used to teach.

  • @lilmoje512 he's teaching right now! what does a teacher teach you

  • @lilmoje512 It is not about the money ... I thing he won't simly because he is a doer!

  • where was this at???

  • University of Florida, if I'm right.

  • I love the oracle. He's a simple guy that has accomplished so much. He's like a really cool uncle that you go to for advice.... I'm launching a business, and I'm looking for people that want to earn more money or start a business. Check out my channel if you're interested.

  • i'm so humbled by this man

  • I encourage everyone to read The Snowball -- it's an amazing book! I can't decide whether my life's work will be in business, or as a school teacher and football/baseball coach. I think I'd enjoy both equally as well. I guess I'll pursue the business career, and if I happen to fail (yuck), go into teaching and coaching. I already know how to teach kids and definetely coach kids.

  • Respect Warren,,, :)

  • Great career advice from The Oracle.

  • It's OK!

  • Is your question to Buffet or to us? lol

  • google ads are the easiest and most widely known/accessed on the internet (you specify how many clicks you will accept and pay by the click, so you can easily set and meet an advertising budget)... i would probably start there.

  • he should use his money, live on $1 million, solve illiteracy around the world by funding schools in the poorest areas. Its possible.

  • people in poor areas should solve illiteracy themselves. Aren't there any smart people in poor areas? They should teach.

  • Actually he lives on less than a million. Plus when he passes away all of his money is going to charity. but not in one lump some. All of his money is in good long term investments. So they will gradually go to charity and still be growing.

  • The US spends more money per student and yet have among the lowest education qualities anywhere.

  • amen sister

  • he is a good role model..I hope he will make a DVD version of his strategies to pass it on to younger generation so his example and wisdom will be immortalized. In the process he will help many to be financially free to follow their life's passion for the good of humanity..God bless & more power Warren

  • True Legend

  • Hello whata up my name is racheal and I was lookibng for sone one to talk to bnut I know you are busy so what evaa

  • saving sex for your old age, lol

  • Still one more question for Buffett... When do you sell? How did he know when to sell?

  • He knows when to sell. He has a mathematical formula in his head that he uses to guide him with the decision to sell. If he were not an investor, but a mathematician, he would have won the nobel.

  • everyone knows that there is no mathematician who can won the nobel.

  • He emphasizes qualitative factors in making investment decisions and NOT quantitative, hence the point of long term Capital management. Buffett is not a mathematician, he is an intelligent investor who can keep his emotions in check, something most people cannot do.

  • "he is an intelligent investor who can keep his emotions in check, something most people cannot do. "

I love this quote of his. "• Unless you can watch your stock holding decline by 50% without becoming panic-stricken, you should not be in the stock market."

Most people will panic sell before it comes close to 50%. That is why people that don't panic sell make money. I learned early on not to panic sell.

  • You mean the Able? There is no nobel prize for mathematics.

  • i would love if he was my lecturer in uni. would actually make me go to lectures

  • God has blessed buffet with wisdom, i mean look how rich he is and yet full of humility and wisdom :)

  • amazing man

  • warren's handsome!

  • Jean Guy Julien is very rich

  • This guy is the man. I think the ability to make the complex simple is an act of genius. The other factor in his success is that he loves what he does. So many people fear money and waste their lives not doing what they want to do because of this fear.

  • Warren Buffet

  • buffett is the man

  • Buffet makes investing look so simple... as all geniuses make their fields look simple but there's much more beneath it

  • you're the ignorant fuck....his kids are getting virtually nothing, he's donating the vast majority of his wealth to various charities, that's why he's so respected and liked, rich as hell yet so humble

  • fuck you! why you said such things about him, what did he do to you? I love him, he is soooooooooo sexy, Too bad, he is not gay.

Anyway, he is a very very nice man. Please do not say such thing. He is right about the tax issue.

  • Oh and you would know. Why don't you go down on your boyfriend instead of trying to steal from people who earned it so you can get more for free.

  • You are clearly a very clever person freebird, and you'r opinion is fair and...oh i'm sorry i just can't write lies like that. Obviously because Buffett is super rich, he isn't allowed to have an opinion. Perhaps you should search YouTube for Monty Burns, someone more to your liking.

  • Anybody that wants to tax anything at a rate over 50 percent might as well move to the UK. Oh wait I guess you are already there.

  • So he admits it, Buffett was initially a TECHNICIAN...Jesse Livermore is the greatest trader of all time.

  • Yeah, he was a technician until he was 19, before he was educated.

  • I cant tell whether he is joking or if he is actually serious

  • brilliantmichael, he said

    "duke"

  • Do you know when this speech was made?

  • You can see the name on the lectern, it says Florida University. From a google search Buffett gave an MBA talk on October 15, 1998. So that should be the date, if I'm not wrong.

  • by looking at the cherry coke can the, design looks like it is from around 1998

  • yeah probly not long after ltcm happened

  • I think its interesting the way he phrased it, when he said he looks at businesses from the perspective of viewing how much they can be hurt by a competitor with a lot of money. He's right. If a Microsoft, Google or eBay can come in and take them over or hurt them until their stock drops, a rich business investor can swoop in and buy them when they are down. The losers are the common stockholders who don't have a chance to recover their losses.

  • What's a "dooku"?

  • "a duke who's" in charge of the castle . . .

  • a master

  • correction:a master of business administration : )

    Buffett is king!

  • Guru.
