  • Aurora Borealis is extremely rare in eastern Europe, so it doesn't have much sense to have this in Half-Life 2.

  • It's pretty obvious that those lines were just transparent texture or picture that moves forward/backward/left/right but doesn't even changes its form and just disappears with a fade
