  • kruwa 9-tka ładniejsza!

  • You are just "awesome" ... You spoiled the whole game ...DUUUUDEEE!!

  • @PROMyLoL This is what happens when you don't read the video description.

    "WARNING!! CONTAINS SPOILERS!

    ACHTUNG!! ENTHÄLT SPOILER!"

  • @mblmg HaHaHaaa I actually did not saw it :DDD I hope, I am the only blind idiot who watched this video:PP

  • @PROMyLoL Hmm I guess you're right. I think I'll add a video annotation.

  • @mblmg You are a Great guy :)) Subbed :P

  • @PROMyLoL Haha thanks :D But don't expect many gaming videos from me. As you can see my channel is rather personal and is more an overview of what I do in my freetime than a video game channel in any sense ;)

So I won't get mad if you unsubscribe after seeing some of my videos of me singing :D

  • only if porn was in direct x 10

  • Last years the DirectX version have been used as marketing estrategy to sell new Windows versions. I felt little differences between 9 and 10.

I used many versionsof them since that I used Win98 and DirectX7 .

  • should have been uploaded in HD!

  • @rubymirror was taken in the time before youtube hd

  • @mblmg: ok.. could you remake it then?

  • @rubymirror well, rather not. I don't have the time, the hardware nor the software at hand right now, as I just entered university.

also, assassin's creed is pretty old now. there are probably other games out there where the difference is more obvious.

  • Directx 10 Looks Great than Directx 9!

  • Is DirectX 11 better in performance than DirectX 9 or is it just in graphics.

  • @jpollorena in both

  • @lefteris908

    sweet!

    :D

  • @jpollorena ^___^

  • which one is best to use for less lag?

  • @Akezater I don't really know. I remember to have read that dx10 is faster in calculating shadows. I don't think the difference in performance is that great.

  • @Akezater

dx10 is more modern. there are no many differencies. dx10 make more details, better mirroring, and lightning-shadow effects. you must try on your pc, wich is the faster.

  • @leejordan001 your forgetting higher AA on DX10

  • @Akezater dx9

  • @Akezater well dx9 is good if u cant afford a strong video card to handle dx 9, ihave GTS 250, in dx 9 MAXED 3x Multi i get about 70-90 fps and with dx10 3xMulti i ave get about 50 or 60, but i decrease to Multi 2 and i get 60-75

  • How do you half the screens like that?

Like erm 1 half 9 and other 10 and they play the EXACT same time??

  • @AVP181 I recorded every scene two times. one time in dx9 and one time in dx10. then, using a movie editor with multiple tracks, I synced the two movies and then I cut off the half of the movie that is on top. this is why I used only cutscenes so that the clips are syncable

  • This game originally supported dx 10.1 features but they released a patch and brought it back to dx9

  • i can't see the difference i am really blind :(

  • At 1:20 you can see the knives appear on his shoulder in DirectX 10, but they're missing in DX9...

  • i have a question,

how i can start assassins creed in dx9???

  • Go into Assassins creed folder and look for ACdx9 or something like that.

  • i found it thx ;P

  • I think directx 10 in this video is better :D

    but i have dx 9c :D

  • to be honest there is sometimes a framerate difference between DX10 and 9 in Xp and vista, but im yet to see a difference in windows 7. Im betting most of it is simply down to extra CPU usage for Vista

  • still direct x 9....more realistic color......in direct x 10....to bright sry

  • I can see a graphical difference between the two (DX10 looks a bit better), although I'm sure that DX9 has a MUCH better framerate.

BTW, what're the specs of the computer this was running on?

  • Geforce 8800GTX, 2GB Ram, Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3GHz

    No visually noticeable framerate difference.

  • Well, the only difference I can REALLY see is something like a white screen-like thing covering the DX9 side. The colors aren't as saturated, that's all.

    PS: Sweet rig!

  • @OMIGHTYGUY No, DX10 has better framerate because it uses sharder 4.0, which DX9 doesnt have.

  • @TasricT Tell that to my computer. -_-

  • from 1:23..

if ur really imaginitive, you can actually imagine Al-Tair saying to Robert

"NOOO,NOT DIRECT X10..DONT PUSH ME THERE!"

    XD

  • 0:22 conversation about both dx...

which is better is the title xD lols

  • Well its good graphich with or withouth dx 10. Lol im not rich so i cant play this game. I will play it someday im praying god for it. I will, posiblly.Well nice video anyway.

  • u know they got it on pc so u can play it the comp

  • 1:08

    super punch

  • In my pc Dx10 has Alt+tabbing issues. The fullscreen becomes a window. This problems came when pressing Capslock also. (OEM keyboard software)

  • the game even runs better at dx 10

  • everything in dx9 is brighter and the textures are a bit more dull, but dx10 has more realistic lighting and the textures are rich

  • Comment removed

  • well i use windows 7... and i could tell te difference from dx9 to 10

  • Windows 7 x86 & x64 are DX11 now!!

  • and so is Vista x86 and x64, patch came out ages ago, automatic download & install in Windows Update.

  • yea but its only the software not the real stuff Windows 7 support the real DX11 , its like you can install DX10 on xp but it dosnt really support it,got the point nigga?

  • no, but XP didn't have a patch for DX10.

You CAN'T install DX10 on XP, you can get custom configs, but it doesn't properly utilize the features of DX10.

    XP is DX9.0c maximum.

Though a patch was properly made for Vista of DX11, Vista properly supports DX11, though it's better to just have Win7.

  • @AmH032uTuBe yea win7 dx11 engine is more complex than vistas dx10 (meaning the AI and physics) win vista isnt good enouf for dx11 AI

  • textures in dx10 are better

  • u can see the diference on 1:15 on the stell glowe

  • Difference on performance & little on graphics. Depends on the type of video card you use.

  • depens on Vista or XP, i own XP with 1gb graphic card i can run everything, plus, if you turn on the full RGB colors you get the same contrast as you can see in the DX10 movie, trust me, i just dunno if it is just for the ps3 :(

  • Ok im using vista so I really dont know too

much on that. The only i know is built pcs fix them & play all time I can.

  • The only difference is in performance, really

  • show

  • the difference between DX9 and DX10 isnt that great... if u wanna see a real difference play crysis (yaaaaaaa i know that u can write the config for DX9 that it looks like DX 10) but for "normal" user its a reall difference

  • my game is only working on DX9

  • then your graphic card is old.

  • or he uses xp

  • or you doesnt use Vista

  • Apparantly, you know nothing if you say Vista is better. Haha. "But it's so pretty!" I got Windows 7, and it's alright atm though. Still needs a little work, but works great.

  • Obivously, you just listen to what other spaztards say. Vista was terrible on release, but most of the things everyone hated about is was patched within a few months and it was just as good as XP. Not better, but just as good (but it had extra features such as DX10.)

  • looks pretty much the same...nothing that would make me buy vista

  • its out for xp already..im using xp and als using dx10 now..its awsome...water never looked so good in games...

  • @eusousuperior

not in Assassins Creed, but Just Cause 2 is probably enough to make a Gamer buy Windows 7(i stucked to XP till 2 weeks ago, and yesterday i got 7, no Perfomance change, no FPS change, and phat ass DX11

  • @eusousuperior Well I play the game now and I started playing in DX10 and moved to DX10. There's an enourmous difference in cloth models. And when I say enourmouse I mean it. They're so much better in DX10 and also I see less object moving through others as for example seeing his sword's tip through his robe.

  • Ah, but 7 and Vista has multi-core support for both games and everyday applications. Therefore, if you have a slow computer with Vista, you have an outdated piece of junk. Welcome to the year 2009 genious.

  • Assassin's Creed always has black bars unless you use the field of view correction mod. But if your game is windowed, try pressing Alt+Enter.

  • NO WAY!!!

In his case Assassin's Creed will always have a Black Bar because he's using a 4:3 Monitor... If he had a 16:9 the game would have no Black bars at all.

If he had a 16:10 he could get some though.

Careful, not every Widescreen Monitor is 16:9...

    If a 16:10 19" it's native res is 1440x900...

    16/10=1.6

    1440/900=1.6

    so it's a 16:10.

Or you can do this: 1440/16*10=900

  • yea, right. I know that AC will always run in 16:9

I said he would always get black bars unless he uses the mod because he declared his monitor to be 1024x768. To be perfectly correct I should have said that he will always have black bars until he buys a 16:9 display or uses the mod.

Of course you are perfectly correct. Thank you.

  • hi dude ..i have problem can u help me...Assassin's Creed black bars...(fullscreen is not working...i instaled latest patch.....nothing happned.....pls help?? my res -1024x768 17 inch monitor.....

  • how do you actually make such test, dx 9 next to dx 10 screen? not that I want to make one, just out of curiosity

  • I played the recorded scenes two times, first in dx9 and then dx 10 and later i fit the two videos together. this was by the way the reason for me to choose cutscenes only, because it's easier to sync.

  • DX10 only handles the light better... But the very same effect can be achieved by adjusting your monitor.

  • Not necessarily. The shrubbery and foliage for instance has more detail than DX9. You can't get those results by adjusting your monitor can you? No.

  • All right... I see nothing in the video...

And i wouldn't get it with monitor handling but...

WOW I'm getting a Vista and running my game with a lot of lag because DX10 has a better foliage... Something no one stops to see in actual gameplay...

  • I have looked at the performance tests... That's why I decided to download windows 7. Because it was on par, if not better than windows xp. Not to mention the visuals & rendering from DX10+.

Your not mixing it up with vista are you?

  • imo theres not so much differens... Just the smoke quality, the shadows, and the brightness....

    There is sooo little diff.

  • Agreed, like most DX10 games. DX9 (SM 3.0) looks impressive already.

  • i'd love to see a video of yours with the same comparison but on gameplay. oh and perfectly syncronised.

  • man siehts ja richtig den unterschied(nicht ironisch gemeint) :D

  • wow you really are full of shit. DX10 has nothing DX9 cant do? please look thing up before talking out of your ass. You obviously have no clue whatsoever about what directx does and how it does it.

  • youre exactly right.

the fact that bill gates pushed halo 2 with vista (being vista only, at least until a day later, when razor cracked it for xp), shows that they knew back then that DX10 had nothing to offer, or they would have pushed a groundbreaking DX10 game, wouldnt they?

apart from very minor lighting and smoke edges, there is little to no difference.

i didnt even know that assasins creed HAD dx10? news to me.

but i have seen the few DX10 games against DX9, and theyre the same

  • its way easier to sync 2 sides of screen with same scene from different records by recording movies, because, if he recorded gameplay, the two sides would have completely different scenes as the game won't ever be the same. Also it would be easy to do a brightness mask on gameplay records

  • both look the same shit

  • i kinda agree mabe theres a better game witch could of been tested to show the real diffrence of dx9 nd dx10

  • Is like a comparison between a HDTV and a SDTV

  • lolololol Assisti o mesmo vídeo que vc, nem sabia q tinha comentado O.o

  • lol x10 owns

  • The colors look more vivid in DX10.

  • wie macht man das den

wie stellt man es den ein wenn es DX 10 oder DX9 ist

  • Im Installationsordner gibts ne dx9.exe und ne dx10.exe

  • Textures and Lighting are Sharper, Fog looks a bit better :>

  • hmmmm...maybe is a BIG difference there

  • Honestly? Except the brightness, don't see any difference...

I mean, DX10 is cool, but I really don't see the difference....

  • hey when dx12 comes out itll be like watching a movie while playing games :) ... imagine FF7 CG the movie graphics being standard for gaming now that is win ... google FF7 advent children.. now thats some good graphic o.o

  • Not a video you assassins creed Beginner!!! The videos in assassins creed are in good quality as in gameplay.

  • hahahha u morons, this is video, not a gameplay

  • This ain't know pre-rendered video, its rendered real-time,

  • Well have you ever played Assassin's Creed u moron??? The "videos" are in real time. You can walk, rotate the camera, They are INSIDE the gameplay!!!

  • Nice Everythings Brighter And Each Bump,Texture, character Stands Out More :)

  • so DX10 has more ...color's and

you can see better colors on the DX10

wich is the only thing i noticed nothing speicial realy :O no reason to upgrade my XP

  • 1st: DX9 or 10 in Assassin's Creed doesn't matter, but in other games like Crysis, Farcry(sry for loving CryEngine ^^) does matter!

2nd:You can't really install DX10 on XP, but with some Google skills you can finger something out ^^.

    P.S. SFE

  • "DirectX10_RC2_Fix_3-Pre-Final" look for this file..

  • Thanks! , but I already have DX10 fix on my XP.And as I already told in my previous comment with Google skills you can get DX10 on you're XP...

  • YOU CANT RUN DX10 on xp. end of discusion

  • sorry dude i am doing it right now so

    it is possible

  • then good for u dude :D

  • Slightly more pronounced and sharp graphics?

Can't see a difference big enough to switch to Vista...

  • Got a Vista 64-bit premium the onboard video chip on my new HP slimline can barely handle 128mb it's integrated. Ordering a 4350 ATI 512MB low-profile card for it, hope it works. It would look great on some games, I think this PC will do me good. All I want to run on it is Bioshock (Which is like 2 years old now) and LOTRO (Which is also old). So I will be satisfied with Dx10 graphics on an ATI 4350, The card is low-profile includes HDMI port, VGA, and DVI :), CAN'T WAIT for real Dx10 :)

  • drx 10 of curse is better than 9 but its almost same shit;p

  • just get that dx 10 xp hack

  • yeah i suppose im gonna try the hack on my comp which will be harder (fedora)

  • good graphics, game still sucks though lol

  • directx 10 is much better

  • dx 10 have more color =) this is good

  • ... i got a prob with directx 9 when i try to install Thief deadly shadows.i get a error message saying: your current Direct X installed is 6x even though ive just installed DirectX 9 Help meee!!!

  • DX10 is a fuckin lot better... it moves smoother and the graphics are a whole lot better

  • Through pretty much the whole vid you can clearly see the contrast is much better on the DX10 version. All I can say is those that dont see the difference are prob using cheap TFT monitors. I'm still on a very highy quality CRT monitor and the difference is pretty clear. DX10 looks better all the way :)

  • dx10 is almost no difference :(

  • i know, some developers choose to implement directX 9 and 10 in ways like going into great detail with directX 9 so that people without 10 can still enjoy a pretty experience. the main difference in directx 10 is the lighting and that the developer doesn't have to calculate the lighting themselves, instead directx 10 can do this, which cuts back on development time.

  • It's more apparent, in games like crysis, that directx 9 is alot more artificial when watching real-time cinematics. kudos to ubisoft for putting in the effort for their non-vista gamers! :D

    btw i accidentally down-rated ur comment...sorry

  • not much big difference when u're used to DX9 and just starting with DX10

  • directx10 definitely looks better, but if you have it enabled u'll experience the performance hit immediately.... dx10 is responsible for 15% of ur total performance, so unless u have a really really good video card (8800gt or better) you're better off just playing the game on directx9 cause the huge loss of performance is just not worth it.

  • DX10 in a console port = fail.

Many DX10 performance advantages comes from cutting off backwards compatibility and taking all the obsolete coding out, built from the ground up for modern graphics.

When you simply take a DX9 game and layer DX10 on top; performance advantages go out the window. Is it any wonder so many games show little to no advantage in DX10? There is not a single DX10 native game out there, they are all DX9 at their core to ensure broad compatibility on consoles and PC.

  • true

  • DX10 just makes everything look... smoother

  • at 1:43 you can hardly tell the difference between DX9 and DX10 have a look

  • also.

windows 98 = one of the best OS ever

    windows me = failsauce

    windows 2000 = good

windows xp = another great OS

windows vista = decent but not great

    windows 7 = good

you notice a small pattern there? microsoft usually fixes their errors with a brand new OS. just like their failure with windows me was fixed with windows 2000.

  • i think the only game where you can actually see the difference between dx10 and dx9 is crysis.

  • This video intends to compare the two versions of Assassin's Creed, not DX9 vs DX10 in general.

Consequently, you'll find passages where you can clearly tell a a difference and passages where you can't.

  • is dx10 only 4 vista?

  • no its possible to get it on xp too.. search it up on youtube :P

  • What you're referring to was barely able to run the dx10 tech demos much less a game, and that project has died off. There are no confirmed reports of xp running DX 10.

  • uhh yes there is...

  • it's really not dx10. you're going to believe what people say on youtube? please...

dx10 will never run on xp! deal with it.

lucky for me, i have both XP and vista so i don't have to make myself believe that dx10 will run on XP.

  • the game directors had said they have dx10.1 support for 1 patch but like many said it was buggy and they droped it on the next patch

  • yes it works...... it depends also on graphics card.

  • *sigh* if you think it "depends on your graphics card" don't talk to like you even have the slightest clue on how coding and hardware work.

  • moron.. it says on my graphics cards box.

  • lol, yeah, let's compare someone who read something off a box (not even correctly) and someone who builds pc's for a living. first off, your gpu has to support dx10, second of all, the only OS that supports dx10 is windows vista, no vista= no dx10. *sigh*

  • then i must be lucky because its working for me..

  • it's not running dx10! -,-

it's running dx9, it's IMPOSSIBLE to run dx10 on XP! god...

  • and you dont sound enough old to build pc's.. but no problem i dont never grow up either.

  • "enough old" ?

"i dont never grow up" ?

    no comment on that spelling...

and i have no need to prove my image through text on youtube, if you don't believe me, it's fine by me, i could really care less. it just pisses me off when people try and defend an invalid point like they knew what they were talking about.

  • I believe you, take it easy man.. Something difference there was when i installed it.. if i spell right. you know i am not american or something like that. but you dont have to reply again.

  • in short: get vista to play dx10

    or wait for windows 7

  • i found it 4 xp... thx

  • np.. see these other fags are gay :P

  • as i though, lighting effects as well as anti-aliasing are helping it out tremendously (as far as IQ)

  • DX 10 is darker and it feels that the textures are a bit better...

  • Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.66GHz

    Processor Speed 2.60 GHz

    Memory (RAM) 1022 MB

Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

    Operating System Version 5.1.2600

    Nvidia 8600 GT

Will i be able to run this?

  • Google: Can I Run it, the first link, that is what gamers use.

  • You can run it.

  • you need more RAM, the rest is ok ;)

  • yeah im getting 4 gigs

  • nope ur graphics card is old u have not enoug ram and ur cpu is ancient :P

  • what about 9800 gt

  • I have the 9800gt and its a very good card :) I got this game also free included in the box. And it can run it on everything maxed out dx10 around 60-80fps :)

  • no... his graphics card is fine he just needs ram and a new cpu..

  • lol pentium d lolololololllolololllllololl
