Always had great time for this band ever since I heard the amazing "The Sacred Talisman." I have to agree with a lot of the posts lauding Swedish and Finnish bands. Nocturnal Rites are way up there with the best of them and long may they continue to play their brand of catchy and outrageously melodic power metal to please the masses. All hail NR! \m/

I certainly hope so. The 8th Sin was looking a bit bordering on poser-ish, like the final album of a band who is about to sell out - but they've stated on their site that their upcoming album is going to be a throwback to harder shit, like the stuff from their Afterlife album, which would be excellent to see. It's not always the case that a band keeps going that way when they reach such a marketable sound, til it becomes complete radio trash - and I hope NR turns it around! \m/

First of all, I like DragonForce for what they are, but i think it's really starting to sound foolish to compare every power metal band to DragonForce. And the only reason this happens is because of DragonForce's exposure on Guitar Hero.

It's the same thing as comparing every thrash band to Metallica or Slayer. It just gets old and in reality, not even good comparisons.
