  • Who sings this?

  • Comment removed

  • @Chayira1 Enya... as mentioned at the end of the clip^^

  • Beautiful but the Latin is being mispronounced "nascetur" is pronouced as "nahs-keh-toor" "veni" is prononced as "weh-knee", "solve" as "sol-weh" "gemit" as "gay-meet". At least this is how the Romans spoke Latin. I know that Catholics pronounce it a little differently but if you try it, it actually flows better.

  • beautiful

  • I have sung this song so many times at school, never in Latin though. The voice of the singer is beautiful.. is it... Enya??? :)

Added to favourites. .. Happy Christmas. xx

  • Anyone who doesn't know the Latin is not Catholic.

  • @magpie4321 not really...not all churches use latin

  • this is pretty darn cool!

  • This sounds like something you would expect to hear when someone walked into a big church or chatherdral in a movie....

  • Certainly the best version I've heard.

  • Merry Christmas from Ontario Canada, come Lord Jesus come.

    Thank you.

  • Oops, one person missed the "like" button. ;)

  • o my god this is amazing!!! its a shame one person accidentally hit the dislike button by mistake...

  • @pink4life1011 its also a shame you would take the Lords name in vain over the internet.

  • @pink4life1011 no , may no sham come to them but let God bless them for they are ignorant, let them be blessed

  • @fanfave101 Why are they ignorant? Is it because they have a different opinion than you? I believe the quality of this song transcends cultural boundaries. Others are welcomed to disagree.

  • I love this song

  • wow.it's beautiful

  • Haha I was sitting waiting for the Irish verse! That's Latin I'm afraid! Either that or I was taking the wrong class in school for many years!

  • Latin (Zoltán Kodály)

  • I don't think the non-English lyrics are gaelic at all--I do believe it is latin...

  • I LOVE ENYA! (who sang this)

  • jesus christ!!!! this is absolutely beautifulll. god bless all the singers.... and we singers let us humble ourselves and be on our knees tho say thankyou LOrd for you blessed us with the talent to spread the word thru music...

  • This is amazing!

  • This gave me chills. Whoever sang this...thank you.

  • @laurenxxx92008 it was sung by enya

  • Just to recapitulate: 1. Yes, beautiful. 2. No, there is no language called "Irish" - the Irish and Scots speak "Celtic." 3. Yes, the other language is Latin. 4. There's only one voice here - Enya creates all the chorus voices through synthesization.

  • @loonpond Actually, the Scots and Irish speek Gaelic (two slightly different languages with the same name pronounced differently - Irish "gay-lic" and Scottish "ga-lic"). Celtic is the name for the culture and set of languages that Gaelic falls under.

We Scots also speek Scots, just to add another level of confusion to our bizarre national identity :)

  • Irish is not a language...

  • @cometogether756 Gaelige- Irish

  • who sings the song in this video?

  • @polarhan45 That's Enya.
