Message to znarf541 AND strageparty : Nureyev has been the greatest dancer in the world during the 2nd half of last century.....and you're here to gossip like two stupid faggots....you're both small (brain)...you're only envious and you should be ashamed.... : BUT WHO ARE YOU ?
He was a character! He was a big fan of Jackie Curtis' and went to Vain Victory several times. I will never forget listening in on an extension phone when Jackie called him - I really wish I had made recordings of those calls!!!
muy hermosas imagenes del gran RUDOLF,nunca sera olvidado, nos dio tanto de si que realmente se merece nuestro eterno agradecimiento, siempre lo tengo en mis plegarias.ROXANA
Translated, this says: "Very beautiful images of the great Rudolph, never been forgotten, he gave us so much that really deserves our eternal gratitude, always I have him in my prayers."
Both Jack Mitchell and I thank you for your kind comments! - Craig B. Highberger
Absolutely - I was stunned by Jack Mitchell's incredible photographs when I first saw them in AFTER DARK MAGAZINE in a National Record Mart in Pittsburgh in 1970, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to meet Jack and make a feature-length documentary on his life and work!
nureyev always danced with the best of the best ballerinas of his day and inspired them to even greater heights of success A great loss when he died aged only 53 {He left £36 million+} His will said it was to benefit young dancers at schools
I just watched a documentary on him and it's really quite a sad story! He was just doing what he lived but unfortunately the soviet union couldn't accept his flamboyant character and love for ballet!

I wish I had all the material that you do. All I have is a couple of faded photographs and a head full of memories.
