I don't know why, but some people described Super Mario Sunshine as a misfire.

I sort of had a blinking confused look. Misfire? Everyone i know who played both this game and Super Mario Galaxy said Super Mario Sunshine was much better.

Nintendo just doesn't see to understand that frustrating ≠ fun.

They also really need to drop the lives system, IMO. "Extra lives" are for arcade games, to keep people from playing them as long as they want.

I'm not talking about the graphics or the technical stuff, I'm talking about the game itself. The game was probably one of the worst Mario games ever. There's absolutely no variety in the levels, they're all the same, and the challenges get repetitive, boring, and very frustrating. now Galaxy's levels were all different, it was barely frustrating, and it wasn't boring, AND wasn't repetitive because there were many different challenges.

Mario 64 was known as a big revolution and such a classic, it has a better variety in the levels, it's not linear at all, and makes Sunshine look bad. Galaxy was better because of the gameplay, it was a lot funner, way more power ups, and a lot of nostalgia, which Sunshine had none.

True, Galaxy isn't a perfect game, but it's better than Mario Sunshine. It's funner to play, that's the big thing games are SUPPOSED to do. Sunshine made these repetitive, frustrating levels which totally kills it, and out of all of them, it is the most linear, which makes it worse. Sunshine isn't the worst game in the world, I'd call it a mediocre game, one to play when you're really bored.
