    I LOVE SHOW-YA!!!

  • The 80's metal band Loudness did pretty well in America, they had 2 albums in the billboard top 100. They are the only Japanese musicians so ever do that if my information is correct.

  • lovesexymusic...very weak comment...no matter wat kind of sexymusic u "love"or where u com from,u make other moronic comments look REALLY good!.N can;t even come close 2 competing with any other low-taste u-tubers....Andy Johns(led zepplin producer) approached them and offered his service in the 80s. Perhaps u tink your taste is better than a world class producer. ..WOW...i am reali curious what is your defination of "lovesexymusic"......(still lol-ing @yr comment )

  • HAHA! LOL! Thanks for the laugh! You are THE MORON with your lame comment! U must work for Keiko! lol! I'm sure A. Johns liked the musicians WHO ARE GREAT! But you- not knowing the music industry obviously- are SO NAIVE to not know how many people back then were happy TO TAKE ALL THE JAPANESE MONEY they were throwing around- to work with bands like Show-Ya! lol! If A. Johns was so into them, then he could've gotten them an American/Int'l. record deal which he obviously DIDN'T and COULDN'T! lol!

  • That's because the west isn't truly ready for Japanese or any music from Pacific/Asia region yet. Did you ever think about that?

Not even Utada Hikaru a famous pop singer from the late 90s-now, could barely break the Top 100 charts for more than a week. With her all English album! Imagine how much harder it would be in the 1980s to impress anyone on the street to love their music. Look at what happened to Pink Lady! LOL

You really know little about this. Everyone is right about you!

  • OK troll, you believe whatever you want. Now that you look like an ass...No one is "lucky" at all that you heard of them. You really are dumb if you think she or someone else did a biased WIki for them.

I know people who listen to Show-Ya (in the US). The concert was in 1990 moron, its almost been 20 years. Of course they aren't well known in the US. Japanese music is not loved by the masses abroad. Look at X-Japan or Luna Sea. Or the 80s musicians you mentioned. They are good but not famous.

  • Look at any extremely famous Japanese singer. Pick anyone! Not one of them is going to become famous abroad. Most westerners aren't ready for Japanese artists yet. Maybe one day. Since you know nothing about this topic I'm gonna stop now and let you spam whatever comments. But I've seen your other posts about Show-Ya. Now I know why no one likes you. You're just plain stupid. It's obvious you don't like the band so stop bitching.

  • stop raggin' on show-ya. i'd like to see you post a video showing you and become as famous as them. you know nothing.

  • The band got its big break in '82 until '91. They also had their 20th anniversary reunion and now are playing again live at large venues. Tarada Keiko is just as important as the rest of the band.

In the 80's, their music was more well known than you think. It was limited but, considering Japan is the 2nd largest consumer of music in the world... Oh, and Show-Ya never wanted to become "mainstream" like the 80's rock singers (though good) you listed. That's why Show-Ya broke up in the 90's.

  • You are just simply trolling now. BTW, it was their 20th anniversary, that is why they got back together. Your usage of "mainstream" is purely subjective. That is the problem. Because now you have insulted the entire band by stating they are not worthy of their rock status. On top of it, you don't even acknowledge they played in LA in 1990 in front of Americans or their historical trip to North Korea.

Since you have such a grudge against her I hope you don't come around here anymore. Move on!

  • On top of it its the year 2009 and plenty of people here outside of Japan know of Show-Ya so I think that is extremely impressive. I've seen plenty of positive English comments. Just you're negative.

    From: WIKI

In 1987, the band was approached by producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones) who requested to work with the band. Relocating to the United States, this collaboration led to the albums Immigration and Glamour being recorded. Show-Ya became associated with Vixen, and Lita Ford.
