  • See Part 9 at the point of 3:22 - Glenn beck wants to insinuate a 10% figure (or less) to represent radical Islam. THATS 150 MILLION TERRORISTS !! 10%, isn't the figure .00000000000000001 % ? You think about the truth of the matter, then tell me if Glenn Beck hasn't tried to manipulate the numbers? HIGHLY POLISHED PROPAGANDA !

  • @hamzah938 More trolling?

  • Irshad Manji is a Ismaili Shia Moslem. They follow the Agha Khan as their IMAM, who lives in Paris, a gambler & ,womaniser. But Manji is a atheist. These Ismailis are not even.01% of the main stream followers of the Islamic faith.

  • I think that she is a very clear thinker. I just hope that she is right that Islam can be reformed.

  • Finally! The Koran that we all can be proud of. The Koran cleansed of contradictions, violence, and discrimination.

reformislam dot org / koran dot php

  • She's promoting the secular Islam summit? LOL Most of the attendees/speakers there were anti-Islam and anti-Muslim. Is this manji's way to get Muslims to "reform" themselves? ..by attending and promoting events which promulgate hate speech against Muslims. As you can see, she is more into self promotion than "reform" and promotes events where people call violence upon Muslims in general.

  • Mehakk: i think she says that self reflection in the Qur'an allows her to rationalize why she doesnt need it. In 700 AD Arabia I can see tribal reason for vieling and modesty - men just want sex. But moderate civilization women are safe unhijabbed-burqa-veil.

Its the literalism of Qur'an that keeps Islam in medieval ages....and that I am afraid...will never change...and we will see hundreds of millions killed in the clash of these two civilizations until one supresses the other.

  • She sure knows how to talk.

  • In my opinion Irshad Manji is a Weak person. My wife is a strong woman, Ingrid Mattson, who is the President of ISNA, is a strong woman. This woman is articulate and very intelligent, but she wishes for a non-Islamic lifestyle. She is, afterall, a self-proclaimed lesbian! Do not follow her!

  • @Nkomo1 Hang on, your calling her weak when she is voicing out her beliefs in the face of overwhelming criticism and agression against her, even threats to her life! I'm sorry but I doubt your wife or even Ingrid Mattson could compare to her. And what is she doing this for, not even for herself but to reconcile the many human rights violations being done under the banner of Islam - she's doing this to prevent these wrongs, and to make Islam better for its practitioners.

  • @Nkomo1 so what if shes a lesbian that doesnt discredit her moron

  • Islam: Religion of peace, believe it or else.

    Islam cannot be reformed.

  • @heavyredmond It can if people realise that the Quran is a text that God wants us to interpret based on our own moral compass. We are not meant to listen to what Islamic leaders (Imams) say like mindless idiots. We need to question it, come to our own understandings and then practice it.

  • Glenn Beck is a bigot.

anyways. the problem in the middle east is not Islam. the problem is with its followers. Muslims have gone astray from the truth(correct Islam).that's why the middle east is in such a lot of crap. and the violence going on in the mid east is not because of Islam. its all politically motivated. because how come the Muslims in china are not fighting? or the Muslims in Russia are not fighting.

  • Salaam Sister! I just want to say that I agree with you 100% about your comment. Stay strong, and I wish "Real" Muslim women, like yourself, all the best. As-Salaamu Alaikum.

  • All the best Irshad! You are quite a woman.

  • this woman is strong, i agree with mostly all of her points. but i fail to understand why she doesn't do hijab o_O

  • @Mehakkk because wearing hijab is outdated and oppresses women

  • @thewayitfeels I suppose all nuns are oppressed then. And virgin Mary was the most oppressed woman of all time according to your logic.

  • @Mehakkk your comment makes absolutely no sense! nuns choose to be a nun as a profession they arent born into it or forced into it.

  • @thewayitfeels Actually, your comment is the one that doesn't make any sense 0_o

Muslim women are not FORCED into wearing hijab either. No one forced me to wear it, nor was I "born in to it." Ever heard of converts? Just like nuns, muslim women CHOOSE to cover.

  • @Mehakkk they arent allowed to take it off except around family, except a brother in law if a brother in law is around they have to have it on. so yea u can say all day long they dont HAVE to but if they dont they will get punished
