Lily was sad & pathetic. I mean what kind of women would pay to have someone marry her, and failed to make him love her and to make matters worse for herself, Sonny never in their entire marraige did he ever said the words "I love you" to Lily! I mean you would think that he could at least say it once maybe and of course not mean it, but Sonny is a man of his word after all...She was the thorn-bird & it cost her dearly at the end!!!

If he could have meshed the two together he would have.
I dont think thats totally true. He liked that Lily was agreeable and that he could get all the power he needed, and she wouldn't question him like Brenda, BUT in the end Brenda set his world on fire, and he couldnt be away from that. With Jax, I think Brenda liked that he was nice, handsome and safe. He didnt lie or have ties in the mob and she didnt have the up/down thing like with Sonny, but in the end same thing. Sonny provided the love/desire/passion she wanted.

@sonnybrenda51 ....Sonny really admitted to Lily all the time that he still loved Brenda. Everytime he looked at Brenda, talked about her..everytime Lily told Sonny she loved him and he could never say it back to her.Lily knew. She preferred to call it "old feelings" but sane people call it LOVE.When Brenda offers to be Sonny's mistress & Lily sees them embracing on the dock -yeah...that look. Everytime she looked at Sonny, his face reflected his love for his soulmate, she just lived in denial.
