Replacement for Boris?! Jasonhas been in The Cure longer than Boris was. I was a Boris fan as well, but move on already. Jason is excellent at what he does & I enjoyed the 2 shows I attended last summer every bit as much as I did the shows from late 80's, early 90's.
Well that just proves how deluded you are, they've never been a bit band. Not even their more famous songs such as Just Like Heaven or Close to Me did that great as far as the charts go. Songs like The Only One, The End of the World and Mint Car have done equally as well as those from the 80s.
My favorite sound guitarwise is the Fender VI. I own one because of Robert though they are tough to come by. I'm not too keen on the Ultracure guitar Robert plays now, but I think I've gotten a bit used to it. I love the new album, and I am looking forward to the next. I generally like his guitar sounds from 1984 until the Trilogy Era. Trilogy, now, seems like a funeral for all the guitars that came before. Sad.
Know the feeling. I've got a Jazzmaster, which is what Robert used from the start to Pornography, and you get great Cureish sounds from it. The Ultracure guitar is really cool but seems less personal that the Nationals and Fenders he used to have.
from JW you can expect only Let's go to bed or Lovecats from Jason... or were you thinking he is able to play Lament like Andy or Boris did?
those guys played Lament with just their acoustic drums and sounded really good. Boris used an electric pad for effects and was wonderful...
Ok, jason could "play" only if he uses that tape with all of the percussions already recorded like in 100 years where even the snare drum is already recorded! what a shame!
It's a Schecter Ultra III. I have one, and I love. I have not played another electric guitar since I got it. The three humbuckers give a massive variety of sounds, and I love the Bigsby tremolo. Plus, they are not terribly expensive. I was so excited last year when we saw them in Santa Barbara, and he strapped it on for this song. I was like, "Hey! He's playing my guitar!"
This band sounds epic now, and Jason's drumming seems to be better. Maybe one day he won't need the synth drums on Push.
Jason Cooper plays excellent throughout the big gig. I've never been his biggest fan, but his drumkit actually sounds like a drumkit now. Keep up the good work jason.
I have never not been a fan, I think he does a fine job..but there has been some hard hatred for Jason recently and if you say anything nice about him..you are lynched. Children..I swear.
This is real music find out for yourself. An epic for ever.

and the walk... the played the others song of JW only in the early years of thsi album...
Greyagain don't listen this spanish idiot : he know that if boris return to the cure he can't play Jason's song.
(and of course the guilty of Lament is not the keys but of jason, strange....)

my second favorite version of this. Robert was really having fun with this one, like he is just aching to play more from the top.
