  • you will need a weight for the front. i used a 1/2" pipe nipple, 4" long.

    also, the purpose of the tail is to keep the nose down. when you build the body, make sure the tail is positioned for this goal.. The tail on this model was undersized.. that is why as it loses speed, the air pressure is not sufficient on the tail and it always did a small "hop" in the air at the end of its flight.

    i used the end of the table as a straight edge and "kinked" it down where i wanted it to bend. if you notice when it is notched, it easily bends where i previously kinked it.

    also, use 2 notches as wide as the foam body so it stays flat where ever the wing makes contact with the foam..

    i would also recommend using cardboard for your first efforts,, it doesn't last as long, but is cheap and easy to work with and flies just fine for a while.
