  • @ACDCwarmachine. Obviously your just a stupid ass troll who knows nothing about the art of drumming if you still believe that drummers don't need a bassist. Just shut up and stop being an idiot who doesn't know shit about anything. K? Goodbye!

  • To a doctor because I'm pretty sure most people can hear and or feel it. So what was that about not making my point cuz you said nothing along the lines of what I was talking about so why don't you shut your face before trying to reply like a smart ass and just think before you speak. Idiot.

  • Ok that's nice and all that the bands YOU like don have bass. And if you even read my comment you would know that I wasn't talking about the guitar at all! I was talking about drums! Sure the guitarist can play whatever he wants without a bass but I guess you know nothing about drums because if you did then you would know how hard it is to make a song flow perfectly without a bass guiding the drummer. And if you say you can't hear or feel the bass in some songs maybe you need to get yourself

  • *real musician.

  • @matthewsinist3r: FYI buddy. The bass is the heart and soul of a band. Obviously you aren't a musician or never will be one if you can't accept that fact. Anyone who is in a band knows that all the members of the band follow what the bass does and listens to his time signatures. I'm a drummer. And any drummer wouldn't know how to play anything without a bassist to guide him into playing with other people.

So before you go off and say that this is boring and all this crap why don't you ask a re

  • @Adayday4444 well, in several band si know of, the bassist isnt shit. he just makes up some part AFTER we write something. and hell, half the time i cant even hear them OR feel them. yeah sure theyre mixed in well on cds but most bands i know of could completely get away with bass live. hence why there are songs with drum, bass, guitar, and vocals. then the acoustic covers have drum (maybe), guitar, and vocals. and they DO make acoustic basses so youre not really making your point.

  • @Adayday4444 and i would ALSO like to point out, some of the best guitarists i know of have bands WITHOUT bassists. BULB, and periphery in the days before the full band was put together, and animals as leaders, and then guthrie govan until his band of late, and steve vai at certain points didnt have bass in some of his full band recordings.

  • @ACDCwarmachine Riiiight but Animals of Leaders have two eight-string guitarists with the two lowest strings tuned as bass strings if I recall correctly.

Not that this isn't a stupid argument to begin with.

  • @minusjason in SOME songs, and it is an F# and even if it is an octave lower than a normal guitar, the thickness of the string, and the length of the neck make the frequency higher than a bass if the bass was tuned a whole step up to F#. they also do not use the "bass" string as you would if you were a bassist. its your opinion so im not gonna shoot you down, but you do not have to have a bass to play the drums... coming from a drummer, a bassist, and guitarist.

  • @ACDCwarmachine Not sure if you realize I'm not the same person you've been arguing with. The only opinion I've offered is that you guys' argument was stupid. The thing about Animals as Leaders is not my opinion (although I was wrong about the two strings- he tunes only the lowest one down). Tosin states in this video watch?v=PPpbekTXC2M about a minute in that he tunes the F# down to an E.

I don't care about you guys' argument concerning bass.

  • @minusjason yeah, in THAT song. i have tabs fhat tosin has made and emailed to me. i have a tab for every song on the first CD.

  • @ACDCwarmachine Apparently you didn't listen to the video I posted, because there is no "that" song. He says nothing about any specific song. He says "I don't play my guitar in the same tuning as, you know, the way it comes stock. I drop my eighth string down to E, so I have three E strings." He goes on to talk quite a bit about tuning it that way. Nothing about any song.

  • @minusjason apparently you dont understand i have tabs from TOSIN. he usually has 3 8 strings on stage an the occasional 7 string. they are tuned differently. i know this for a fucking fact. he may keep that one guitar in the video tuned to drop E. and no, i did not hear it in the video, because i didnt watch it. its the black ibanez rg2228, isnt it? he has a strandberg 7, strandberg 8, 2 ibanez custom shop 2228s, ibanez 7 string prestige LACS, and an illustrated luthier 8, and an archtop 7.

  • @ACDCwarmachine If you're not going to take the time to watch the video I posted of the guy himself directly contradicting what you're saying, I'm not going to waste my time with you.

  • @minusjason well you certainly are a fucking moron! i have played his guitars! i have the official tabs by the man himself! i just watched the video, and as soon as it popped up, i knew exactly which one it was because, just like i thought, i had seen it before and even guessed the exact guitar he had in the video in my last comment. oh and btw, CAFO is F# B D A D G B E, wave of babies it E B E A D G B E, if i remember correctly. so that right there automatically proves you wrong...

  • @ACDCwarmachine First- it makes you look like a child when you call people names.

Second- on one side I've got some guy claiming he has tabs from Tosin and he knows the tunings. On the other I've got a video of Tosin himself saying something different. Who would you believe?

Third- that doesn't prove me wrong at all. If on some songs he keeps it at an F# it does not at all hurt my point that this particular band most likely doesn't use a bassist because their guitars are already so low.

  • nice groove

  • you dont need a bass, thats least important instrument . guitars are important to me because listening to this shit alone is just boring . drums are my favorite instrument, but the elec guitars add the extra flavor which adds creativity to the music, that makes those instruments extremely important .

  • @matthewsinist3r its not just to listen to. some people wanna make sure they have the vocals down good or the lead guitar chords down right or in tempo.

  • @matthewsinist3r In some parts of the world... you could actually be shot for saying that... if anything bass is the most important instrument.. try having a guitar solo with out... it'll sound like shit.. dont be dissin bass just because it's not the most flashy..

  • @ginseng1550 im not into flashy i appreciate the bass idiot . its just that there are some bands without bass . and they're pretty good .

  • @matthewsinist3r Yeah like who??

  • @trevorftard You have to be kidding me right? Have you never listened to Tool or even Red Hot Chili Peppers id like for you to tell them that since they're based around the bassists skill!

  • Is it possible that you can upload the bass on it's own?

  • I'm not even going to argue back because of how stupid your argument is. All I will say is that you guys are retarded.

  • @trevorftard You sir, fail at life.

  • @trevorftard I hope you're trolling.

  • @trevorftard You obviously have no knowledge of music. Being a professional musician for over a decade and playing both guitar and bass in a live setting I would know. The MOST crucial part of any song is the rhythm section ( i.e. Bass and Drums) b/c they form the structure of the song. They ARE the foundation of the music. So shut your punk-ass up.

  • Nothing heavier than an instrument that only sounds good clean, follows the REAL metal guitar, and can nearly be heard.

  • @trevorftard Your probably 10 years old which makes your argument lame and invalid. You've probably never been to an actual concert and felt and heard a live bass. The sound of a bass is rarely transmitted through normal computer or ear bud speakers. The only thing you can actually hear a bass's true sound through are bass speakers. I have to 12" bass speakers in my car and kicker mids and tweeters for the highs. You feel and hear the bass way before you hear the guitars or vocals when i drive.

  • @trevorftard I watched some of your videos, and you can keep practicing that guitar all you want, but your attitude toward the structure of a band will prevent you from ever getting anywhere. Your slowly closing the door on your musical career, and sadly that door happens to be your bedroom door, good luck playing anywhere else.

  • Guitar and vocals ARE the important instruments. Bass doesn't matter.

  • @trevorftard dude, bass is the instrument that makes it heavy...without that its just a bunch of annoying high pitched notes

  • @trevorftard listen to mudvayne....ur argument is now garbage,

  • DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS...ME AND MY FRIEND PLAY BASS AND DRUMS AND WE'RE COVERING THIS SONG AND WE NEED THIS XD
