  • Sick.

  • Ah! thanks for the clarification albeit I knew this was Paganini's and the pianist.

  • @mrkwonsony

Rachmaninov wanted to name the piece 'Variations' I think. The publisher decided on 'Rhapsody'

  • @janvandoedelpuk um.. so ?

  • This has 15k views, Justin Bieber has 100 MILLION views!

    What is wrong with society?!

  • @andy4226uk Will you people stop calling out that talentless kids name in these videos!!! Just enjoy the music. You're only making the fellow more and more famous when you keep calling out his name.

  • YES berezovsky i love his lack of distracting bullshit circus act COUGHlanglangCOUGHCOUGH

  • Beautiful playing.

  • Does that title says this is another version of Liszt-Paganini variation #6, or just a random moron made this title up ? I'm sure this melody was originally came from Paganini's violin version, and then transcribed to Liszt for piano. Rachmaninoff transcribed again for concerto ?????? WTF is this title ???

  • @mrkwonsony The theme is by Paganini. Many composers wrote variations on this theme including Liszt and Rachmaninov. This is a recording of the Rachmaninov variations. Berezovski is the pianist.

  • @dmitribron thanks for the explanation, but of course I already knew Berezovski was the pianist. .....

  • @mrkwonsony The title is" Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini". Cheers.

  • This guy and Kissin are my favorite pianists right now. Such skill.

  • this was composed by Brahms right?

  • @richclayderman No, lol. Rachmaninoff, as the title states.

  • @JohnEBPiano Yeah and Moonlight sonata was composed by Prokofiev....

Amazes me what people will think

  • @Martel211996 Am I the only one smelling sarcasm here ???

  • @mrkwonsony lmao!

  • @Martel211996 ?????

  • @mrkwonsony No I just find it pathetic that some idiot would dare write a comment "this is composed by Brahms right?"

  • @Martel211996 but I'm not the one who wrote that. i get it now lol.

  • excellent, fresh, independant rendition.

  • This is Rach's answer to Liszt. Such a wonderful piece. I am in a trance listening to it.

  • He looks so confident and relaxed yet he sounds excellent.

  • Berezovsky is my favorite piano player right now

    Perfect perform!

  • Surprisingly good! After slack start wakes up to a fine interpretation full of nuance & shades, almost Debussyan! This is far from the blunderous bungling Boris i've encountered too often. De Waart & orchestra partner him with matching sensitivity.

  • excellent
