I once flew on a KLM flight with a pilot named kapitein Kurk, which in Dutch is pronounced as "Kirk". Captain Kirk!! I really had to restrain myself not to burst out laughing on that plane :)
During the original series, Shatner filmed a (deleted) scene in which Captain Kirk's 12-year-old nephew visited the bridge wearing a child-size Starfleet uniform, and Kirk let him sit in the chair.
Hilarious! And I don't have to make any snarky comments about people disliking it, such as "X people are petaQs."
However, since I'm a Trekkie, one continuity nitpick: Wheaton joked about the melodica riff being some strange condition of Gates's contract rider. But Star Trek V was in production at the same time as TNG Season 2, and Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher) wasn't on the show that year.
@murlough23 Seeing as it was just a joke, I don't think it particularly matters. Although it could be that the melodica riff was a stand-in for Gates herself :P

@Vercalos Yeah, I figured exact details didn't really matter here. But you know, if I don't point it out, some other Trekkie will.

Say what you will about Gene Roddenberry, but he knew how to keep that pimp hand strong with Shatner!

Now I don't really want to meet Shatner anymore... but I do want to meet the TNG cast. Sounds like they're friggin awesome.

@torchwood3c This is probably how I would feel if I was ever in the same room as someone who had met Wil.
Seriously, spent my childhood pretending to be him lol I'm not ashamed of being a massive dork!
