  • wow, now that was very average

  • まさに芸術

  • Haters gonna hate. X Japan is one of the few bands in history (with such an enormous and devoted fan base) that truly know how to rock the fuck out until they literally drop from exhaustion, while putting up an amazing performance. Every. God. Damn. Time. Don't know the phrase, "omoikkiri"? Get some, mother fuckers.

  • @SummonTheNight One word for what you said.......Perfect.

  • That Nice !!!

  • you're not the best drummer in the world...

but the best in my heart!!

  • OMG!!!!!!

  • TCHAIKOVSKY: Serenade for Strings in C major, Op. 48

  • yoshiki is number one asia drummer forever

  • @reindefleur I think Sassy of High an Mighty Color is a Great Drummer too, but Yoshiki is amazing :D

  • he's japanese and the rev is american, there's a difference... so don't compare this guy to the rev... they're both great in their own ways

  • 3 people doesn't know how to enjoy

  • YOSHIKI!!!! I LOVE YOU <3

  • @nick0black stfu newb yoshiki wrote the book on musical entertainment. Ask any of the musicians you just mentioned what they think about yoshiki and you will learn who the true god is.

  • @FPSMMHUNTER so true he's not only influential as far as metal goes, but he does some interesting things classical music wise

  • Okay it looks cool. Doesn't make it amazing. My boy the Rev would plow his ass. Danny Carey would slap him silly. Alex Van Halen would destroy his sorry ass. Mike Portnoy would shred the shit out of him. Joey Jordison would teach him how to use the double bass pedal. Lars Ulrich would shred the shit out of him as well. This is pretty good. But he's got nothing on some of the true legends.

  • @nick0black lol I'm sorry but he's far more talented than this performance even comes close to showing, for one he's a composer and song writer.

  • @OtakuJyasuten Everybody I just said is a composer and song writer. That's why their musicians. Especially the Rev. They're all better than this guy. He only does double bass pedal obviously and if he were to do it he should at least add some more speed to it.

  • Hey Shut up about the rev. If you dont like YOSHIKI then dont say anything X-JAPAN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you agree vote up

  • @JDM6805 umadbro? Mad that the Rev owns this guy? Let alone Danny Carey. Or Portnoy. Shit I feel sorry for the guy compared to some other drummers. he's alright. Not great.

  • @nick0black yep in a way there I agree with you.. it's just.. YOu do notice it's the SAME cadence right? I mean.. The WHOLE time!! I think it's impressive.. and are there a lot of Drummers who alse master other instruments like Piano?.. if you practice 2 insturments it'll be harder to be great at them both.. + Yoshiki is a great composer..

  • @glossgirlxoxo Let me go back to THE REV. He mastered piano, drums, plays guitar, and bass. He writes music. He wrote all of A7X's BEST SONGS. Afterlife, Almost Easy, and Welcome to the Family are some. He's alright. Obviously from this video he can't make a solid beat. Only double bass pedal. And I've listened to other stuff by this band. It's honestly boring. Not saying I just like hardcore shit. TOOL for example. They're slower. But so much more talented.

  • @nick0black First of all, the Rev might know how to play those instruments, but he doesn't know how to play them with technicality. Yoshiki can play all those instruments plus the trumpet, is virtuoso at piano, drums, possibly guitar, is a MUCH better composer. Yoshiki is so good at composing, he composed for Emperor Akihito of Japan. Yoshiki can compose everything from hard rock (every instrument) to classical concertos with full orchestras (he composes every instrument).

  • @nick0black Also, Yoshiki composes every note of music IN HIS HEAD and rarely plays it before it's finished. Even other virtuosos can't always do that. The Rev wasn't even virtuoso. Yoshiki has been playing piano since the age of four, and has even played so hard, quickly, and beautifully that his fingers have bled. He has medical problems with his neck and hands, and the doctor suggests he doesn't drum at all. But he does. And Yoshiki is alreayd losing feeling in his hands because of it.

  • @nick0black Even with this lack of feeling in his hands and painful wrist joints and neck, Yoshiki can play virtuoso pieces with ease. He can play better blindfolded than the Rev could with 100% concentration. Just because you are a Rev fanboy (just because he's dead doesn't make him good), doesn't mean you have to come and bash a REAL musician.

  • @AsianDramasRule Him being dead doesn't make him good. That's spitting me in the face. Just because you're a Yoshiki fan boy doesn't mean you have to bash a real musician. At least the Rev didn't only play with a double bass pedal and mainly toms. The Rev had creativity. He could make hardcore music, Avante Garde Metal, and alternative metal music and never just sound the same. I'm not even going to get into his vocal and lyric talent.

  • This guy hasn't shown any speed either. If you're going to use a double bass, you might as well put a little ass into it. This is just so basic.

  • @nick0black He shows more speed in his songs. And many drummers couldn't use the double bass like Yoshiki does. It's not basic at all.

  • @AsianDramasRule Yeah but there are people who can do it so much better. AGAIN we're back to the Rev, Joey Jordison. Nick Augusto no doubt as well.

  • @nick0black They don't do it better. Stop naming overrated Western drummers. Yoshiki is better than them all.

  • @AsianDramasRule Overrated western drummers? I just saw this guy do a 15 minute solo. I can judge. They do it WAY better. Listen to In Waves or Turn the Other Way. So much better. Stop listening to a whole bunch of asian crap. Tell me this guy is better than Danny Carey.

  • @nick0black Well, I had this extremely long reply about how much I disagreed with your statements and how much Yoshiki was better, but just as I was finishing it, my computer dumped it's physical memory. So, I'm not retyping it.

How about we leave it like this? I'm not changing your opinion, and you're not changing mine. It's clear you don't really like Yoshiki. Fine. I think he's number one. Like who you want, but it doesn't make them better (well, at least not to me).

  • @nick0black appreciate all aspects of music you must.

  • @killscott1988 I do. This is just not good. Dir En Grey is a MUCH better Japanese band. Job For A Cowboy, All That Remains, to the Shins and Cage the Elephant, to Van Halen, to R.E.M. I love it all. This is just bad.

  • @nick0black You're not all that great at trolling.

  • @KesslerSEES I'm not trolling. I'm just pointing out how overrated this drummer is and that you all need to look up much better drummers. people think this guy is like the best ever. Neil Peart? Buddy Rich? Danny Carey? Grow up people. If you knew how to play drums you would know that the larger part of this video is very basic double bass drumming.

  • @nick0black Overrated? Who talks about him other than X Japan fans? Incidentally, I do play drums and many other instruments. The fact of the matter is that I don't listen to my favorite bands and think "it's too bad drummer x isn't drummer y from this other band." The truth is that you're an elitist who thinks that because your favorite musicians are far more technically competent than Yoshiki, that their fans don't know good from bad and your tastes are superior. Frankly, you're an idiot.

  • @nick0black Furthermore, if the music you listen to is listed on your page, then your ineptitude didn't even deserve a response and I should retract everything I've said. You clearly don't know shit about shit.

  • @KesslerSEES The music I listen to on my page? On my info? All of those bands are good. If you are going to sit here and tell me Trivium is not a good band you sir, can go die in a fucking hole.

  • @nick0black Trivium is a shitty Metallicore band who people like you fiend over because you think those meedly meedlies are AWESOMEASFUCKBRO. Technical music should be more technical than Trivium. That's all.

  • @KesslerSEES Do you play music? Do you play the drums? Or the guitar? They blow the shit out of this band instrumentally, lyrically, and emotionally. This is corny and basic. I do this drumming to warm up in the morning. And they aren't metalcore. They're heavy metal with a little death metal.

  • @nick0black Oh, I give up. Trololololomode. I don't want you to name any bands. I've already heard of all the bands you know about.

  • @KesslerSEES And if you want me to name a Japanese band better than these people. Dir en grey. MUCH better.

  • @nick0black Dir en Grey were good while Yoshiki produced their music...

  • this is acoustic mass murder, this guy is insane!!!! I don't need any vocals if i listen to this

genius... Yoshiki and Yngwie Malmsteen are to killer!!!!

  • @1arje If they work together

I see the destruction of the World

  • I don't understand why there are still 3 people who dislike this.....

  • @DH31701 jealous

  • @DH31701 yah there needs to be more

  • I's never been interested in drums before I learned about him.... Now I'm just shocked and totally impressed. I watched lots of drum solos of other musicians, but nothing in the world can be compared with Yoshiki *_*

  • @XRiaX12 then you are truly blind... :/

  • @lynx666 nope, I'm just exacting ;) Tastes differ, you know..

  • @XRiaX12 agreed :)

  • the best drummer in this fucking world

so beautiful... yoshiki you are the best

  • Oh god... You can feel when Yoshiki plays, all the emotions inside him... Thank you for upload this in high quality... it's more beautiful than i though thank you YOSHIKI I LOVE YOU

  • For a Drama Queen, he(?) sure can play the drums...... when he is not mentally drifting into another world or crying.

  • HYPERBOLE EXAGGERATION

  • What's D Song Name That Sang On 14:30?

  • @patatiste It's Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 2! I love this piece. Piano Concerto No 3 is on the same level of excellence!

  • world anthem お願いします!

  • So............. Dramatic.....

  • ไอ่ส้นตีนไหนกด dislikes ว๊ะ

  • Made me love drums. Honest.

    EPIC

  • さすがヨシキ様。昔も今も素晴らしいです。素敵(#^.^#)

  • who else got chills when 10 minutes in he screams and gave it his all? made me respect him way more as a drummer

  • i wish i will have drum skill like him.he is the best drummer of me

  • I think this is probably becuz it's his last concert ( back then ) which why it was the best drum solo he ever played, it could be me but i feel this was his best work so far on drum solo.

  • My niece plays like that in her elementary school band.

  • Too musical...not flashy or theatrical enough.

    (heh)

  • @CrandMackerel haha I'm sensing a bit of sarcasm

  • BGMの選曲がまたセンスありますよね。ホントにYOSHIKIは演出がうまい。エンターテイナーとして最高の資質を与えられたまれに見る天才だと思います。

  • this is the most dramatic scene can a drummer gets...AWESOME!!!

  • wtf is up with his stamina? He took a break... that bastard.

  • @S3ymoreButts

I smell a hint of sarcasm, either way

Considering this was suppose to be the last live I do believe he's allowed to indulge the moment; him, drums and an awesome crowd.

  • @S3ymoreButts lulz he's old :P

  • the best,yosiki.......ganbate

  • a pure drum solo would be better. These Orchestral sounds don't fit with the drumming. This is nice, anyways.

  • Yoshiki doing a drum solo on a Rachmaninoff piano concert is just so awsome !

  • Comment removed

  • he is definitely my favorite drummer

  • How can i get this on dvd ???

  • he's a beautiful beast at the drum set ♥O♥

  • we are x!!

  • simply bravo

  • この時のドラムソロが1番好き。

    生で見たかったな~。
