@zynation End off the original color by pulling up a long loop, cut the loop. Be sure to leave a long enough tail to draw in with a yarn needle. The join the new color where you ended off and follow the pattern.
@zynation Yes! You can either use heavier yarn and a larger hook, or add an increase round (you make another round before making the even round with one more stitch between the increases), or if it's big enough around, make it 7 inches. Or try the slouchy hat version. It's a little larger, just finish it with the ribbed cuff instead of the one shown.

okay. so i'm making this for my dad, but the size is too small. is there any way I can increase the size?
