  • Nice to start playing Guitaar (Y)

  • How can you have a minor penatonic blues scale?

Since when is 6 notes a 5 note scale?

  • that is probably the best blues sounding tone i've heard.

  • ha!

  • yah it looks so easy but yet sooo...HARD LOL!

    BUT ITS STILL AWESOME! (=

  • is it that much against the law to say; here is how to play the chords to a song?

  • Yes.

Apparently the multi-billion dollar bands can't afford to lose $15 from someone not buying the tab book.

  • Just turn down the tone on the bridge pickup

  • he's playing whit an octave pedal

  • Yea I like the tone. Especially since peoples tone usually sucks when things're recorded.

  • me too but it doesnt sound like that

  • i have the same guitar as you...but i can`t get my guitar to sound like that! how do you do that?

  • probabally a pedal

  • maybe out of tune if it sounds crappy

  • wow !!!

  • Wow.. When you do it, it looks so easy. But when I try it myself....no chance... Bood work BTW

  • how'd u get the guitar to sound like that?

  • He probably has an overdrive setting on his amp so he can sound cranked up high without actually playing loud or, he might have an overdrive device box which he can use on any amp he plugs into. It also makes you sound fast too.

  • i know cuz thats the sound i want, iys not to clean and its not fuzzy like most distortion

  • im not sure - maybe try turning the tone knob down with the gain right up. (and try it with all pickup selections)

sort of a santana tone innit?

  • man my pick had to break, and my guitar had to be out of tune, well rockongoodpeople is good

  • kudos to johnny be good...

the beginning riff of johnny be good launched a million songs in reference to the double stop

  • is your guitar's brand fernando??

  • in this lesson I am using a late 90s mexican made fender stratocaster

    rock on!

    DT

  • Really? Cool! I have the same guitar (1998 Fender Mexican-Made Strat Sunburst). But that guitar has better tone than mine. I know it's partly the guitar, but would higher gauge strings or a different amp make any significant difference? (I use a Vox AD30VT).

  • Bb and A# are the same note.

  • Excellent video, these kinda video's are why I subscribe to rockongoodpeople.

  • Hey, Dave, Got a question, why haven't you done a Q&A session like you guys did in mid-October? Those were cool! Rock On!

  • hi - we will do another one of those soon!

    rock on!

    DT

  • Oh good, I love those, besides I got a doozey to ask!

  • you rock dude!! ^^

  • Thanks Dave! I always learn something new from your bad ass videos!

  • hey man! nice video as usual. just got one question, whats the difference between distortion and overdrive?

  • the are similar - usually overdrive tends to be a smaller amount of gain - kind of a lighter distortion and in many instances distortion is more full on balls out gain - basically its the difference in how much gain used

    rock on! -DT

  • Thanks Dave!!

    Your the Man, Rock On!!

  • What pedal are you using ?

  • OCD Distortion

  • sorry its a fulltone OCD

  • HAH! Showed Up by Mr. Taub himself.

  • Hey i was just guess cos that's what he used for the how to use effects video. sorry if I was mistaken

  • HI - no pedals - just plugged into a small line 6 spider I practice amp with a little reverb

    rock on!

    DT

  • good job oberal still waiting on that free falling with E,A and B

  • This video seems incomplete. Teach us more soloing techniques. Double stops are a gold mine.
