Most of these people including the person I was replying to use religion and the Bible as their reasoning against Homosexuality, which is why I decided to use language they could understand so to speak. The post below is as close as I have found. I capitalized a few key words. Still my question remains, How is something you consciously choose to do genetic? They're born gay, but the gay gene is a myth.

Being straight, the idea of laying with another man disgusts me, so that's where that comment came from.
However if I spoke to one in my day to day activities I would not be nasty to them, rather treat them the same way as I treat everyone else, usually with respect.

I am not gay but I felt the need to post here. In my opinion there are 2 types of gay:
1. The "good" type, the people who actually love a person for being who they are, nothing wrong with that.
2. The "bad" type. Mostly males in prison who have strong sexual urges and cannot control them, so they abuse other men. These are the ones that give gay people a bad name.
At the end of the day it is noones business what gay people do behind closed doors, it is their life and not yours.

Ok, my last comment was uncalled for, but I don't believe people are born gay or straight, I believe they become gay or straight at puberty and that there surroundings can affect that, and also, if it was a choice, how many people do you think would view being gay differently?

I have 3 brothers. We are very close in age, grew up in a small town, had the same upbringing, went to the same school, even shared many friends. I turned out gay, they got married. Im one of the lucky ones, my parents accepted it fully as well as my brothers. I know it is genetic. No one will choose this life.

i have searched all over for that. no one has ever been able to provide proof that gay is genetic. everyone always said "scientists say so" but nobody has provided proof. i do not hate gay people, i hate cover-ups that people make up to protect someone or something. being gay does not make someone horrible, why do they have to have a lame excuse that they are born that way? why don't they say I chose this, or I want to be this way. instead of i'm born this way
