Was that a high intensity energetic emission due to molecular excitation of electrons into higher orbitals followed by relaxation and emission of photons in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum? It was just that I read an article about it in The Sun the other day, which was pretty good. The Mirror has more articles on quantum mechanics though, and with pictures, but no big words.
