i like this kid....and Frankie Gomez....but I question the level of opposition Jose is fighting...some of the guys hes knocked out simply just quit after getting hit....i respect the fact that thos "opponents" got in the ring, but truth be told, they're NOT fighters and dont behave like fighters. The kid has GREAT potential, i just hope his promoter (Bob Arum) doesnt feed him tomato cans on the way to blowing up his record....if brought along at a proper pace this kid could be SPECIAL

Gomez = headhunter

Benavidez = reach + combo of speed & power

Gomez = power with some speed

Benavidez = more well-rounded which means better potential

But I honestly like both these kids....

@MarKeyToes would be a good fight in the future. But jose has been looking better then frankie gomez in his fights. He had the opportunity to train with roach, who has taught him to use his height and reach to an advantage. Gomez is more of a brawler. Jose is more of a boxer. I think benavidez wins by decision.
