Spokanegirl the reason for so many places going belly up in Kissimmee is because most of these places just didnt get the people they thought they would, they thought they would reap disney's success but it just didnt happen for them and most entrepreneurs were not original in their ideas such as the many abandoned putt putt courses. All the big tourist traps that are left today are unique (medieval times, Capone's, Arabian Nights, etc). They werent thinking longevity.

Oddly enough the animals where kept there until they could be sold/moved in late 2004. There where articles in the Orlando Sentinel about the place getting fined for something, I can't recall now.. The gift shop was still full and alarmed until mid-2005.
