I remember watching WCW back around this time with all the great talent they hired away from the WWF, I just kept thinking they could bring back some of the old feuds from the WWF and they just kept milking this NWO crap! When the NWO started bringing in guys like Bischoff and ref's, you knew things were falling apart quick. When the show was going off the air like this every single week and Bill Goldberg was getting pushed you knew WCW was sinking really fast. The final nail was Vince Russo!

Damn they missed the ball during this time. All those great superstars they had and they straight blew it. They should of worked harder on building single's rivalries and not so much the big group thing. They rode that horse way too long. They literally had ALL the talent. Due to WCW's poor job, it gave the basic WWE guys to become superstars

Hulk Hogan could do around 20 to 25 moves in Japan by the way and the no selling was part of his gimmick.Warrior didnt pave the way for The Rock or Stone Cold, you have guys like Bad News and Jake roberts, roddy piper who were around before warrior.

@nicecream44 The cages in WCW usually had a roof on em, or like thunderdome cage (probably the mother of hell in a cell match ), where it curved in at the top so you couldn't get out, and went around the entire ring.
What they sould have done is make the gaint and the warrior go at it. Even if the giant is big and stronger make them go at it. Who cares if warrior beat the gaint or the gaint beat the warrior at least make them go at it the all of this drama crap and waste of time.
too scripted. and man alive, you can see that hogan and the warrior are off the juice. smoke effects? what does that have to do with wrestling? give me in ring action, passion, some stories between the guys, and leave it up to them.

Id like to see you try to do what they do. You still have to be a tough guy to do it because acidents hapen and the show must go on even if you hurt yourself. No they arnt as tough as boxers or MMA fighters or anyone who takes part in a real combat sport for that matter. But there not a bunch of wimps. Regardless your complaint would be like going to see James Bond and complaining that it's not a real spy.
they messed this thing up-they could have built warrior up soooo much. They would have had all time classic matches with warrior vs sting (which would have been like hogan vs warrior in wwf) or Goldberg. A good handful of solid goodguys to compliment the heels

The WWF version of the Ultimate Warrior was way more intense. A guy that was all roided up and drinkin' 10 shots of espresso before running into the ring like a crazed madman.
The Warrior was a waste in WCW. He didnt wrestle anybody but Hogan. Lots of him stealing Stings gimmick of hanging out int the rafters. Smoke gimmicks, mirror crap, and a horrible match wit Hogan. He really was a waste with everything passed 92..

Warrior had already moved on with his Life and wanted one more quick run as a Wrestler. He came knowing he would lose to Hogan to satisfy Hogans Ego, he thought he would be able to Push is OWN gimmick, but after Hogan buried Warrior, he then let him go.
Hogan paid Warrior a lot of Money to satisfy his own Ego, another reason WCW is DEAD!
@Papawill13 Hogan did allow the Warrior to pin him at WM. But you are right Hogan did bury the Warrior because of Hogans ego. But I have no sympathy for the Warrior however. He let a lot of people down on many ocasions when he was booked but didnt show. He should have had feuds with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and the Undertaker. His Career could have been the best. But this feud with Hogan was the last major apearance for him. What a shame. Its a shame also that WCW let it happen.

@jhiggs17 I one hundred percent agree. Warrior was bad, he had overrated charisma. He had some of the most confusing promos of all time. He made his career off size and look and his opponents ability to carry him through a match. People dog Hogans ability but on a few ocasions(such as WM 6) Hogan had to revert to his Japan wrestling style to carry the match. Warrior just ran a lot, shaked the ropes, press slam, big splash, and rips off the hulk up with his own comebacks. Thats when he showed up.

Mike Kirkham died in 2002, the guy was knocked out in the first round. He never regained consciousness before passing away. I've never seen that in Professional Wrestling.

I was naive enough to be excited about Warrior showing up in WCW. He wrestled two matches. A crap tag match with Sting where he did like 3 punches. Wargames which was a huge pile of shit ppv, and I regret ever ordering it, then because he messed up his arm escaping the cage at the ppv, it hampered their match at Halloween Havoc.
@guardian08527 Because of Warriors over the top creativity, he is partially responsible for Daveyboy Smith wrecking his back. Bulldog didn't know about the trapdoor in the ring at the Fall Brawl ppv and got slammed on it hard. Then Bishoff fired him while he was in the hospital. Total disaster from day 1 for Warriors WCW appearance.
Why did bulldog not have a match/feud with Utimate Warrior. Since he's the one that used the trap door, and thats how bulldog broke his spine. Why didnt they feud over it. The power of utimate warrior and the speed/high flying of bulldog, good match
@nath909 You kinda answered your own question. In addition, after the injury, Bulldog was gone from WCW, whether it was him requesting his release or being fired, is still disputed. Plus, after the mess with Hogan and that negative 5 star match, Warrior fell out of favor with WCW anyway and was shortly gone himself.

Id like to see you try to do what they do. You still have to be a tough guy to do it because acidents hapen and the show must go on even if you hurt yourself. No they arnt as tough as boxers or MMA fighters or anyone who takes part in a real combat sport for that matter. But there not a bunch of wimps. they messed this thing up-they could have built warrior up soooo much. They would have had all time classic matches with warrior vs sting (which would have been like hogan vs warrior in wwf) or Goldberg. A good handful of solid goodguys to compliment the heels

The Warrior was a waste in WCW. He didnt wrestle anybody but Hogan. Lots of him stealing Stings gimmick of hanging out int the rafters. Smoke gimmicks, mirror crap, and a horrible match wit Hogan. He really was a waste with everything passed 92..

@TheLincoln1980 Okay that statement may not been entirely correct. He was told to hang out in the rafters which was a copy of what Sting does. Whether it was him or WCW, the Warrior character was misused badly.

@Neomac316 That is what happens when Hogan is allowed to devise a Wrestling angle... All Hogan wanted to do was embarrass the Warrior and that is what he Did. Warrior had already moved on with his Life and wanted one more quick run as a Wrestler. He came knowing he would lose to Hogan to satisfy Hogans Ego, he thought he would be able to Push is OWN gimmick, but after Hogan buried Warrior, he then let him go.
Hogan paid Warrior a lot of Money to satisfy his own Ego, another reason WCW is DEAD!

@Papawill13 Hogan did allow the Warrior to pin him at WM. But you are right Hogan did bury the Warrior because of Hogans ego. But I have no sympathy for the Warrior however. He let a lot of people down on many ocasions when he was booked but didnt show. He should have had feuds with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and the Undertaker. His Career could have been the best. But this feud with Hogan was the last major apearance for him. What a shame. Its a shame also that WCW let it happen.

@jhiggs17 I one hundred percent agree. Warrior was bad, he had overrated charisma. He had some of the most confusing promos of all time. He made his career off size and look and his opponents ability to carry him through a match. People dog Hogans ability but on a few ocasions(such as WM 6) Hogan had to revert to his Japan wrestling style to carry the match. Warrior just ran a lot, shaked the ropes, press slam, big splash, and rips off the hulk up with his own comebacks. Thats when he showed up.

Mike Kirkham died in 2002, the guy was knocked out in the first round. He never regained consciousness before passing away. I've never seen that in Professional Wrestling.

If you're entertained by the hugging time that it takes to get to the arm lock or choke hold, more power to you.You wanna get technical, Owen Hart died in a pro wrestling ring, Darren Drozdov was paralyzed, Steve Austin was damn near paralyzed, and the list goes on. I am a fan of both and yes they are different. One is staged if in MMA you break my arm in a match. Its not suppose to happen I should have been taping and the referee should have jumped in. The stuns that go on in wrestling are real but they are suppose to happen.

I was naive enough to be excited about Warrior showing up in WCW. He wrestled two matches. A crap tag match with Sting where he did like 3 punches. Wargames which was a huge pile of shit ppv, and I regret ever ordering it, then because he messed up his arm escaping the cage at the ppv, it hampered their match at Halloween Havoc.

Bulldog didn't know about the trapdoor in the ring at the Fall Brawl ppv and got slammed on it hard. Then Bishoff fired him while he was in the hospital. @nath909 You kinda answered your own question. In addition, after the injury, Bulldog was gone from WCW, whether it was him requesting his release or being fired, is still disputed. Plus, after the mess with Hogan and that negative 5 star match, Warrior fell out of favor with WCW anyway and was shortly gone himself.
