@HalfBlindGamer better?Even cavemen would laugh their asses out by seeing these ''games''.Some had a few good points but still.Like Hotel Mario. The controls are quiet easy and enjoyable but the cutsenes suck, the story sucks too,and so do the graphics.IMO they should have just sold these ideas to a company that could make the games good.
@volkderfreiheitzwei Hi there and thanks a lot! Didn't know about the CDTV version. If I remember right there was also a sequel on there right? Or was that on the CD32?
@HalfBlindGamer It was that on the CD32: if you watch it you can clearly notice that the graphics is 5-bitplanes 32-color OCS mode, which was a CDTV graphic mode. The CD32 was backward compatible with it... 1 & 2 were CDTV games
@smartlamppost You mean the intro music? It's a remix of the music of Deflektor for the c64. The original is quite catchy and got me hooked to the game, even though it's hard as nails lol.
It's got far better eye candy than the NES adaptation. I enjoyed playing it back when we had the Phillips Magnavox store at my mall, but once that turned into a dress store, I never saw the CDi again.
Oh man, before I played the CD-i version I had rented the NES version and I had no clue what the hell was going on in that game, so confusing. Just a graphical mess! I enjoyed the CD-i version quite a bit, it was one of my most played games actually.
Hi there. A great review my friend. I had DOTC on Amiga and CD-i, and i totally agree that the Amiga version was much better and the over all quality and graphic contence of was far superior over what was claimed to be a true 16bit games machine.
And don't worry I'm all open about my eyes so I don't mind any questions about them. I still have some vision which is quite a lot compared to... well nothing hehe. I do need to sit prety close to the screen though, especially when reading.
What, like Sony?

I like how CD-i takes famous games and turns them into absolute crap.Even BETA versions of the original games are probably more enjoyable XD

@flamesdemon19 That'st he power of CD-i! Funny how one of Philips slogans used to be "Let's make things better".

The music in the intro sounds like music from Family Games I; is it? Where's it from?

I remember playing this game as a kid (and failing at it :) ) so it was cool to see your review of it. Good stuff. :)

Thanks a lot man !
And it was pretty hard indeed as a kid, I think this was my first taste of strategy games.

chip and dale?
APISSEDGAMER 3 years ago
Yeah, wanted to liven up the scene a bit and was planning on using different stuff each time. But I don't really have a nice spot for that anymore.
Chip & Dale are fun characters though, so they got to go first. I can still enjoy Disney in general.
