Acutally, I think if you right click on a webpage (on chrome), you get an option to "view page source", which reveals the entire code of the page including comments.

for bold you could use bracket b (replace strong with b)

and bracket i for italics (replace em for i)

@Mattedatten Main difference between html/xhtml is that XHTML is much stricter, this helps the browser display things correctly and xhtml will appear almost the same on most broswers.
