I had back in the early 1950s a black and white tomcat named Whitenose who did this with the small rugs in the hall. He would come in the front door, hit one of the rugs about 6 feet down, and slide all the way to the end of the hall, about 12 more feet.

He did this nearly every time he came in the front door.
