excellent effect. the fluttering gets fairly drastic on high settings, though- I'd probably never set the modulation past 10 o'clock

This nails the sound of tape delay. It even gets the sound of poorly maintained and malfunctioning tape units. Very nice unit! Available when?

I assume that the flutter is there to simulate the tape flutter in an old Echoplex.

Is there enough delay time in this pedal to get that Echoplex slurred sound on sound effect, ala Joe Walsh?

Dude you must not be hearing well this is so subtle It sounds real like an echoplex. The carbon sounds like crap. You want something that is subtle also you can control the flutter

dont like that flutter at all. its like if your guitar is in tune....this will make it sound out of tune!! pedal doesnt seem to be very useful to me. i just bought an MXR Carbon copy and the demos iv heard sound way better. it has a modulation effect which i think would be more useful than that flutter effect.

Hey Brian, we've traded emails about the dearth of distortion pedals over the lack of non-distortion pedals, so when I heard this one, I thought I'd weigh in. I'm pretty much all acoustic these days, so this one "Strikes a chord" with me!

I have an Echoplex EP1 that is in great shape. That is the closest thing that I have ever heard to it. The flutter resemblence is uncanny. I hate taking the EP1 out to play, but hate not having it. Can you get this thing to oscillate?

hiwatt, believe it or not, but this is not the echo base. The echo base is cool in it's own right, but the only similarity is that they are using the same core delay circuit with the 2399. However, I do not like the modulation created by the echo base. It's too chorusy sounding and too predictable.

You may not believe it, but some of us actually CAN create our own circuits.
